Place is dirty and run down. The taco salad is not that great. Made with chili instead of taco meat. Comes with captains wafers? Offered a dressing? I miss the taco salad Humble Pie used to make.
First timer at Famous Anthony's and I was very impressed with the atmosphere, service, and cleanliness of the restaurant.
I ordered the barbecue with coleslaw, a roll, and a side of french fries. I had Sweet Tea to drink and ordered a baked potato with butter and sour cream to go. Everything was seasoned well, cooked to perfection, and very tasty. I will definitely be visiting again the next time I am in Roanoke. Thank you for serving me.

People are really nice here with a great culture at this time. This is like going to Grandma's house for simple home cooking only everyone gets to tell her what you want and it's made to order. Take family here for a quiet sit down, just yourself, on business, or just a date with your wife/husband/girlfriend/boyfriend
