Leonore's Pizza is a fantastic dining spot that you definitely need to try! The owner is incredibly nice and outgoing, making us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. Every dish we ordered was absolutely fabulous. My spouse tried the Pelua (shredded beef and cheddar with sweet plantains) for the first time and loved it. I ordered the garden salad with shredded chicken, and both the greens and the meat were incredibly fresh. We capped off the night with the delicious...

Ignore the pizza and pasta and go straight for the arepas. Real, authentic Venezuelan food in Roanoke is nearly non-existent, which is a shame, because the arepas they are serving up here are the real deal. The Reina Pepiada, Domino, and Asado are stand-outs, but they're all amazing. Grab one with a side of fried plantains and you're in for a treat.
