I went with a friend and my fiancee here and we didn't appreciate the experience. When we were finally greeted at the door they "took" us to our table (walked way too fast in front of us and just laid the menus down at a booth) keep in mind I'm a mobility aid user so I'm slow. Then once we sat down he didn't even say much except for "we have coke products" and got our drink orders and went to go get them. He came back to us and asked if we wanted ranch but was way too fast and way too loud so we couldnt understand what he was saying. The staff were very loud, they were leaning over the booths communicating with eachother and us. I had to put on noise cancelling headphones because there was too much noise going on between the very loud music, staff, etc. It wasn't very professional and we were pretty disappointed that we didn't get much respect.

This Macado's used to be absolutely amazing! The atmosphere was great, the service was great, the food was great and it was all around a good experience every time we went. There's been a noticeable decline and all of the aforementioned things but our attempt to down there this past Saturday was the worst yet. The entire bar area was covered with a thick layer of nicotine and even though the doors were open to the outside letting fresh air in nicotine and smoke was all you could smell with not a single person smoking in the bar at the time. In addition, sitting there for almost 15 minutes before even being greeted only to be told I'll be with you in just a second. A big disappointment and will not be giving it another chance!

Fantastic. Went during lunch when it was pretty quiet with our teens. Excellent priced lunch special deals during the week. All the sandwiches we got were awesome. Phenomenal service. Huge portions.Our poor server even rescued a retainer from the top of the trash bin for my son; he is incredibly grateful!! He would have been in an expensive doghouse until he was 18. ? Thank you so much!The kids Mac and cheese was the most surprising part of the meal. Really good and filling home style Mac with a ton of cheese, and a huge portion of tots!Kid-friendliness: Kids meals are great portions and come with a drink! Very reasonable prices.

After paying to park and waiting 5 minutes at the front we were told they had a large party and were busy and basically turned us away. Loved wasting money on parking to not get a seat or food. We traveled from out of state to Roanoke and had looked forward to eating here when we made it to town. Lost our business for future trips to Roanoke.

I stopped in for lunch today (Sunday) while in town for work. My server (Alex) was great at helping me navigate the menu as it’s been years since I’ve been able to get to a Macado’s. I live in RVA and the closest ones 2 hours away. Once I ordered my food came out within 15 minutes it was hot delicious. I ordered the build your own. Bagel, pastrami, corned beef, Munster, coleslaw, add spicy mustard. The French onion dip is still as good as I remember from when I was in college. The server made sure my drink stayed full and put in an order to go for me. My only complaint is I wish y’all were closer. ??

Macado's what is going on with y'all's service? We came in to celebrate the new Year. Normally this placed was packed but now I understand why it wasn't. There were two people working the bar but they were the only people actually working. Servers were drinking on the job (even telling us that they had been drinking). We ordered drinks and food and would have been probably more but we never got our food, it took two hours to get an answer as to why. We had to walk up to the bar to even get a drink at points because he was so busy while every other server in the bar area was just hanging around. 20 minutes past midnight and they are ringing the bell and telling us to wrap up our drinks.Who ever is managing this restaurant is not doing a great job. This placed used to be packed and now it's not for a obvious reason. I'm a long time fan of Macado's. Love the food and atmosphere but without good service people won't care and they will leave. I hope this doesn't fall on deaf ears because after last night, all I can see is this location closing.

Came here with a family group. We were hoping for a comparatively quick lunch but the service was unexpectedly slow; though to be fair it seemed like they might be a bit understaffed, which isn’t their fault. The atmosphere was generally nice, and they had lots of cool quirky decor which I quite liked. It was on the louder side though, so if you’re sensitive to noise you might not want to come during busy hours.I got the chicken mac & cheese, which was super tasty! The majority of the food our group ordered was also very good, however they did get one of our orders slightly wrong, and one of the group members who ordered a sandwich thought it was a bit disappointing, especially considering this appeared to be a place that specializes in sandwiches.Our server were friendly, and overall it was a pretty good experience. I would consider possibly coming here again at some point to give them a second try, even if they’re not #1 on my list.

Normally I order from the vinton location but doordash ordered from this one instead, first off they have a 80% water and added a dash of lemonade, gave me watered down tea that wasn’t sweet tea, forgot the damn cheese sauce and tried to argue with me about it if I just order $50 worth of food think imma be a Jew about cheese sauce? Nah I just want what I ordered, didn’t give any condiments, sliver ware or straws, I’d go to the vinton location this one sucks, customer service is awful knowing damn well you didn’t put the cheese sauce in the bag and wanna argue( picture of the watered down so called lemonade)
