Had an enjoyable evening out during a business dinner. Atmosphere was 5 star! Service was almost 5 star, however we did feel a bit rushed in getting our food order in before we were even served our cocktails. The food was very good and we will return on our next visit to Roanoke!
Our server was friendly, attentive and considerate. There when he was needed, funny and also careful to not disturb the table when it wasn't necessary. The food was delicious, beautiful and prepared surprisingly quickly. The carbonara in particular was simple (as it should be) but perfectly cooked and seasoned. We'll be back soon.

Excellent! The food was good as always. However, the real thing that set this particular Fortunato experience apart was the service. Gwen was absolutely excellent-attentive without being overwhelming, kept our wine/water topped up at all times, and was overall just a bubbly personality.

As always, Fortunato was wonderful. We had a new server Gwen and she was a 10 out of 10. Orders were prompt, correct and food was so tasty. Can't say anything bad about our experience.

Had not visited this restaurant in a while and was pleasantly surprised. Wait staff was friendly and helpful. Food was excellent, especially the grilled branzino (fish). The salamedi di choccolato desert was also excellent. Best shortbread I've had anywhere. The chocolate wafer had just the right hint of orange. Will put this place on my regular list of restaurants to frequent. Great location because it's just down the street from its sister restaurant, Lucky's. Had to stop in there for a night cap and visit Kent and Taylor, the best bartenders in Roanoke.

We had a wonderful evening. Great atmosphere. It actually looked like they seated couples in one area which more quiet and great for valentines and large groups elsewhere. Don't know if this was intentional or just happened but it was lovely

Very good experience overall from when we arrived until we left. We sampled many of the appetizers and were very pleased. Our server recommended a bottle of wine that we also thoroughly enjoyed. Would definitely recommend visiting here.
Everything about this experience was perfect! The menu was full of amazing choices; our party loved everything we ordered. Our server, Ashley, was friendly and charming as well as knowledgeable and helpful about the food and drink choices. We had a wonderful birthday celebration!

The food was, as always, very very good. Our server had a bit of an attitude but was, overall, attentive and good. The restaurant was full for the three hours we were there. The wine list is great and wines by glass pretty spectacular. My favorite place in town to eat.

I had work colleagues out of town from Chicago & SC. They seriously loved the atmosphere, food , and specialty cocktail.... Great food & drinks Always a pleasure at Fortunato to impress out of state folks ! Thank you ! Dan
We enjoyed a nice dinner complete with a mid range bottle of red, a cheese plate to start, and a variety of pasta dishes. We decided that each dish was satisfying, but there certainly wasn't a "wow" factor to the dishes. Portions were on the small side, and proteins were lacking. Overall an enjoyable experience but we were hoping for a bit more!

We have been to Fortunato several times over the years. However, I must say last night's meal was probably the best we have ever had there. Everything was tasty and the service was excellent. We were in the back room, which is a little noisy given the large party next to us, but it wasn't that bad. I love that Roanoke has some unique places to eat such as Fortunato.

Ashley was our sever and she bent over backwards to make sure that Amy didn't eat any food with meat by products Brett is ALWAYS kind and willing to make dinner a great experience

As always, everything was fantastic! We visited during Roanoke restaurant week. Fortunato never disappoints. The host, server, and food were all top-notch. The only suggestion - don't be so stingy with the anchovies in the Rucola salad!

The food was delicious! We were expecting the portions to be a little bit bigger (my partner is a New Jersey Italian; he can eat a LOT of pasta), but overall our experience was wonderful. I ordered The Sixth Spice Girl cocktail, and I think it may be one of my favorite drinks of all time. You should definitely check this place out!
