Stopped in on a not seemingly busy Wednesday, during trivia. Passing though town from the day. This place seemed like a great spot and right up our alley. Service was not bad at all when interacting for the most part. Two ladies were good and friendly. Gentleman seemed like he could care less if we were there or not. Not rude. Just didn’t seem to care. Happy to sit outside and let our little toddler run around outside of the car. What a great space. I understand they close at 9 and last call was 8:45 ish. No problem. Closed our tab and went back to sit and finish my beer and my wife’s NA. Both good beverages. My wife went to restroom before leaving and there was already a trash can in front of door and a scrubber in/on toilets?! Seemed she should not use any so she asked the person cleaning the mens and they said ok just move the scrubber. My wife came back and I was prepared to go to the bathroom myself and take our toddler before we hop back in the car for an hour more drive to our hotel for the night. At this point it’s 9:15. Doors were locked. I was carrying in my glass and our kids juice box. Had to leave them outside on the furniture. (Sorry) there were I’m guessing 6 folks hanging/working around the bar. I’m sorry but this “efficiency” of closing was to the detriment of your customers. I’m not even mentioning the food. It was fine but my chicken on the salad was to tough to eat. No need to complain when eating I just left it on the side. Its just a salad but come on. It wasn’t busy. I don’t know what it would be like if this place was full. Really wanted to love this place. Tipped 25% prior to the bathroom issues. Just sad caused seemed like no one cared about the handful of people left. In the car on the highway at 9:20 to find a gas station to use the restroom with our toddler.

The NA kombucha is a great option if you aren’t in the mood for a beer.

We wanted something simple, wings and mozz sticks, our usual spots were closed so off to the search of a new place to satiate the craving.
Barista was friendly, people nice enough, 40s/50s crowd. Our buzzer wasnt working apparently and our tender brought our food out, luke warm at this point.
Cheese sticks were still solid in the middle, Ive had better out of a box for the half the price, theres even a few gas stations they could take a lesson on. No seasoning in the batter whatsoever. Some effort was put into the marinara but a bit on the thin side, just dripped right off.
The wings missed the mark, think they may of been smoked then fried which is great if executed well. No bone in option. We both got dry rubs, could definitely tell they were sprinkled and not tossed if not even shaken back off afterwards as there was barely any flavor on them, our fingers were still clean and that doesnt sit right with wings.
While this place has potential we probably wont be back as missing the mark so far on something so simple that we stopped and got to go wings from another place down the street on the way back for later.

Food does not equal the rest of the experience 5 Stars would be a definite if the food was taken up 4 steps…. After looking at the other reviews the food is the consistent disappointment. I look forward to seeing if changes are made.

As you approach Twisted Track, you’re greeted by an atmosphere of euphoria and excitement, you can see this is the place to be on a Friday afternoon in Roanoake, you’ve fought your way down 460 and are ready for some libations and pizza and eagerly work your way up the line.

You’ve heard that this is a venerated venue, and place a request to the friendly bartender there for a pizza and some beverages.

You sit down with a lovely lager and it ticks all the box’s, crisp, refreshing. The wind blows in, the chatter is there, you’re so excited for the pizza. Finally, your buzzer goes off and you make your way over to the pick up bar.

The pizza is perfectly made to order, it smells like fulfillment, and you saunter over to your table proudly at what you’ve produced. But as you sit down with the tray of pizza, you see the forbidden hint of cardboard underneath the pizza and with a jolt of fear you can tell something is wrong.

The cheese on the pizza looks like it was 3D printed onto a a cardboard facsimile of pizza, what in the AI is this? The marina is thicker than the font on a chef boyardee can, but the crust looks like it was made in a Keebler elf factory.

You bite more and more in desperation, the slices disappear as you wait for the flavor and the taste to appear, but it flounders, so you eat more. The mind wanders. Why is this served on top of cardboard? I thought this mad in house?

Where is Digoronio in all of this? You realize that the walls are closing are in. It was all for naught. A frozen pizza made by the Red Barron flashes through your mind, the concept of a pizza was more tasteful than the actual pizza itself.

Why? Why did I pay $23 for this? Someone please rescue from tbid, perhaps the wail of harmonica played by a soul form Charlotte will guide me out of here.

The pizza here makes the frozen variety produced by Tombstone or your local high school cafeteria seem like a luxury made by the blessed hands of the teenage mutant ninja turtles themselves.

Star City? More like cardboard pizza.

Great beer, solid pizza, helpful staff, live music. What else do you need? One of the few proper Dunkels I've found in Virginia.

Great place to throw a party. We reserved their conference room for a baby shower and were really satisfied with the whole experience. They offer catering and set everything up for us, and we were able to get drink tickets for our guests. The staff was amazing to work with!

I grew up in the Roanoke area but moved to ny just before I turned 21 and man, i wish i had this place in ny. Accommodating staff, friendly as well. Very rare where the first sample i have, and i fall in love with the beer. Highly recommend their red ale. The food was also very good, up there for the best boneless wings I’ve ever had. Burger was solid, and the fries were more potato than fry if that makes sense, which I strongly prefer. Definitely upgrade from chips to the fries. Will definitely come back when I’m in the area again!

I turned around at the door upon seeing a 30-yard line to get a beer.

You guys sell 1 thing. Well, when you can get to the bar you do. What's so hard about that, hang?

There's no excuse for not being able to serve customers in a reasonable time.

Great brewpub! Facilities are well kept. Staff is friendly. It's so great they have food available, and not just a food truck. But...food was just okay. Got a Railyard Steak and Cheese in a wrap, and the Twisted Fries. Wrap was very greasy, but not really flavourful, and the fries were okay but not that hot. For the price, both should have been better. Brewery is a five star experience, but their food brings it down one star
