“While on a surprise 2 day getaway for my wife and adding new places and adventures our first stop was Early Mountain Vineyard for lunch. As we entered and we were warmly greeted, walking through the beautiful main area to the outdoor patio with mountain views. The service was amazing. The food was above amazing and beautifully plated. Starters we had a crab salad with sweet pea pannacotta. My wife had fresh parsley pesto pasta and I had the pan seared bison. Both were some of the Best dishes ever. I'm told the wine was amazing too. You must come and taste the creations of this 3 star Michelin rated Executive Chef Tim Moore. Simply Amazing !!!“

“This was my second trip to the Lafayette Inn & Restaurant in Stanardsville. The first time was because I was roadtripping and ended up being so tired while on a roadtrip for work that I had to find a place to stay, and the second time was purposefully going out of my way to stay there again for two nights. I recommend this historic inn to everyone. The owners are welcoming. The place is so cozy and beautiful. I feel at home when I visit the Lafayette.“

“After a long drive from NJ to VA it was great to have a relaxing dinner. I had the Root Burger; it was delicious. My husband devoured the fish & chips and my daughter was very pleased that grilled cheese was offered on the kids menu. Kudos to our server Wendy M. who was very professional, attentive, and kind.“

“We stopped at 1pm for lunch and ordered from the brunch menu. I had the breakfast burrito with shrimp and avocado... amazing. They were generous with the shrimp and the ingredients were on point and delicious. My wife has the SouthWest salad with Salmon for her protein selection. It was vibrant with lots of Salmon. Delicious. We also ordered some cinnamon buns to go. Can't wait. Dogs are welcome on the veranda tables. Only downside was no shade and only a few tables. Large open interior. chair/table layout. Not crowded tight together. Ordering was easy. Staff were warm and professional. Overall a wonderful experience.“
