Wow this place is the place to go if you want a great value on fresh oysters. I can't wait to get home so I can shuck and start eating these babies!!

A coworker told about Dockside Seafood, I drove from Virginia Beach on Saturday morning about three weeks ago. Best deal in our region. I going Friday for more.

What looks like a vacant building on the water’s edge is not. It is filled with oysters. Bushels and boxes of them available at wholesale prices - CASH ONLY.There are gorgeous ones for shucking and others for roasting on an open fire. Just clean them off first with cold water when you get home.My guy and I brought home a box and dove right in. With the appropriate tools (which I had purchased online) we opened up our oysters, preserving the brine water, delighting in the beauty of the pearly interior shell. While I love lemons squeezed over my oysters I went ahead and slurped some of them without it, such was the deliciousness of the “liquor” naturally there. The hours and days this wholesale business is unknown to this oyster lover. It may just be a local secret.

Bring cash $20 a box feeds 4 people, before noon and grab wholesale priced oysters in the winter and crabs/ peelers in the spring and summer. Small factory set up you can see the boats unload and the catch go into your box from the most incredible views arround. Picturesque quaint little town in the low country back woods, 10 min from Smithfield. Secret spot for the most incredible sunrise over the rivers and old wooden boats with real hard working Americans setting the stage for an evening of shucking the real local treat, oysters like nature intended, from a river not a farm.

Best oysters I've ever had. Sweet and most have oyster crabs which are a sign of clean water. Can't beat the price either
The Best seafood in the world
