The Oak & Ivy Taphouse Reviews
I used to enjoy coming here for dinner and drinks a few years ago, but my experience tonight was horrendous. Bad service, nasty craft beer and the place was just dirty inside. I definitely won’t be back!
Excellent food and drinks. Cool atmosphere and awesome staff. 100% recommend.
Paul Hysell MAKES Red Point. I’ve been following him for years. I’ve been eating his for for approximately 10 years. I’m also a long time family friend.
I have NEVER had anything of his that wasn’t beyond amazing. I’ve had his food in restaurants and family events.
He ability to come up with amazing creations is out of this world. He should have Triple D show up and be on the food shows.
Tonight we got the Red Point Burger, steak fries, wings...read full review

The Oak & Ivy Taphouse in Smithfield offers a local small town feel with great food and delicious drinks. The atmosphere is super cool; the front has a bar feel, and the back has ivy everywhere with tall chairs and a bit of barn countryside Ireland feel. The place also offers a patio with a fire pit, lights, and seating. The food is hardy and the best food that people have ever eaten. Menu highlights include the parmesan truffle fries, homemade and delicious, the pub burger and fries, the steak frites, and the brisket sausage on a pretzel bun. The brussel sprouts are flash fried with Parmesan and a dipping sauce. For dessert, the beignets come with six mini beignets with ice cream, and the lemoncello cake is creamy and lemony perfection. The service has a bit of old world warmth. The bartenders are super cool and provide helpful suggestions. The experience is always a nice quaint perfect Smithfield spot, even for those who do not drink. The food, service, and wonderful atmosphere make this a place to visit for anyone traveling around the country.
