Truly a wonderful place to get away! Jimm and maizy (the beautiful rescue greeter) were wonderful host! The location is perfect for Old Rag and many other hikes. We hiked Old Rag and had a much needed complimentary bottle of wine waiting for us when we got back! The sunsets are beautiful to watch on your porch that over looks Old Rag mountain! Jimm’s breakfast was top tier(the muffins omg). We definitely will be back, maybe not to hike Old Rag again but to enjoy the getaway...
My wife and I just finished our 3 night stay at the carriage house. We chose this due to its close proximity to Old Rag but due to a fall and some stitches in my wife's knee the week before going, we unfortunately had to skip the Old Rag hike. The host Jimm had plenty of great suggestions for lighter hikes and his hospitality was top tier. The carriage house was clean and cozy and Jimm's breakfasts were delicious!
