My boyfriend and I stopped by Sharp Rock Winery for a tasting after hiking Old Rag. It was one of the first stops you’ll find after leaving Old Rag. We were greeted by Jim, one of the owners, and his dog, Maisey. Jim was great to talk to about wines and other sites to see in the area. He was helpful and drew us a great map :) We left with a bottle of their red. I hope to go back!
Great place. We stayed a few nights for our 1 year wedding anniversary/my 40th birthday. Jimm is super friendly and easygoing with two very sweet dogs whose company we very much enjoyed.Sharp Rock is in a beautiful location, somewhat off the beaten path by a small river, with plenty of places to sit and enjoy the surroundings. Jimm is a very welcoming host and the vineyard itself is peaceful and scenic. The carriage house is a great place to stay and the wine was incredible as well. We will certainly be back for another stay in the future!
