Excellent food, great value. The food was prepared so well, seasoned great, and the portions were large. Service was quick and very friendly. Highly recommend!

Jacolitos is the only place I'll go for Peruvian Chicken. I will say this is the 3rd time now where I ask for dark meat only for a 1/2 chicken and I recieved one piece dark and one peice white. Just a heads up to those out there I think it's safe to say they don't give out straight dark meat chicken anymore. Which is sad because it's an option on the Uber Eats and it's always been an option.
The Yucca is ok, I don't order it usually unless I can specify to make sure it's cooked throughly as I've recieved raw yucca way too many times.
I've had another not too pleasant experience where I ordered food and ran out of gas on the way home. I called Jacalitos to let them know. My fiancé was able to help me get gas and we both headed over there. When we get there not only was I told the food I had already paid for was given away but was accused of having someone else pick up my food. Logically, why would I after calling and having the endeavor I just had send someone to pick up the food and then go try to pick it myself. Also, there'd be no way for someone "I knew" to pick it up because the only person I KNOW in the STATE was with me. Don't forget the food was under my name and my bf paid for it. So someone would've had to know my name and have my fiances I formation all while ordering our favorites.
After about 15 minutes of going back and forth the gentleman at the counter tells my bf and I to have a seat while he remakes the order. No accountability, no I'm sorry I gave your food away, EVEN THOUGH YOU CALLED. I paid attention during this time. I noticed about 3 people come in and not once did he verify a name or what the order was. Instead he just handed them bags.

I did mention it but of course was brushed off. At the end of the day, professionalism does not fall on the shoulders of the customer to uphold but the staff and buisness. After patronizing this buisness for 2 to 3 times a week for years this really left a bad taste in my mouth.
Since I've let it go but every now and again I'll see thinks that lack of care like the situation in the beginning I mentioned.
Some suggestions,
For rice as a side maybe consider add the variation of options that you have. For example: lomo saltado has cilantro white rice, yellow bland rice, spanish rice with vegetables. I'd rather not have bland rice as a side and ai don't always want yucca so the option would be nice. Also the 1/2 chicken should have 2 white sauces instead of the same amount you'd get for a quarter.

Idk, this place has so many positives but the negatives keep me away. I think this is the last order for me in a while. After mentioning the Yucca and it's still icky, and now my drink is missing. I'll just hold off while the get a little better organized.

We intended to go somewhere else that was closed so we tried Jacalito. We were a little surprised by the hole in the wall, Mom and Pop shop. We were both happy with what we ordered. The nachos were a meal by themselves and would absolutely get them again. The rotisserie chicken was good and the Mrs was happy with her enchiladas. No frills atmosphere, but I don't care if the food is good. Definitely worth a try and likely a regular carry out!

Pretty decent Tex-Mex. Walk up counter inside to order (no table service) but with plenty of inside seating. Good menu and our food was good. The fajitas were great.

Tocos and fajitas are my favorite they also have a variety of different dishes not just from Mexico but also front El Salvador and Honduras if you want to enjoy some good food I definitely recommend el jacalito restaurant

First time here it was greeted with a big smile and professionalism, and I was pleasantly surprised by the fajita meal that included extras that I didn't expect including a guacamole lettuce mixture that was wonderful and limes and salsa absolutely wonderful taste thank you thank you thank you I found a new restaurant that I will revisit often when I'm in the area!!!
