Hands-down, the best sushi in the area. My family and I have been all-over and love the variety Taiko offers. We no longer go to D.C. for sushi.Service is the best and the atmosphere is perfect for 1-2, or even a large family or small gathering. Our family fave!!

I love Taiko Sushi! All sushi rolls are amazing but my favorites are the Capitol and Valentine’s rolls. The presentation is perfect. Sandy always greets us with a smile and is very friendly and attentive. My family and friends love Taiko Sushi as well!

I stopped by after a long day of work. Super fast service. Extremely kind at the door. I ordered carry out and the lady still brought me a glass of water while I was waiting. Even though I too the sushi all the way back home, the quality exceeded any other sushi I have had or tried in this area!

Enjoyed a late lunch at Taiko on Saturday with my kid. We shared dumplings, takoyaki (wheat flour octopus balls), and she ordered the Salmon Lunch Box, which came with salad and soup. I ordered two rolls (the only ones that did not have rice): Naruto Roll & Phoenix Roll. The Naruto roll was tasty and the cucumber was nice and crunchy. The Phoenix roll had spicy tuna with avocado on top - also delicious. Both came with a yummy ponzu sauce that I alternated between dipping with soy sauce. We capped off the meal with a tempura fried matcha green tea ice cream that was crunchy on the outside, a tiny bit cake-like on the inside and sweet as it sounds!

Best sushi rice I've had in a while. You can have great quality seafood, but if the rice is poorly prepared, it ruins the whole experience. Was really happy I stopped by while traveling for work. They also gave me a free sample of salmon belly. The miso was also really good. Some places the tofu has a dry texture and is watered down.

Amazing, high quality sushi at a reasonable price. Take out was great and actually thoughtfully packed to keep my sushi from getting hot and soup getting cold. Sashimi dinner was top notch!

This is a cute little restaurant in a small shopping complex. Honestly, I've driven by here and even got a new car battery next door and never even noticed this place. Was looking for sushi on yelp and this place popped up. I ordered the Happy Santa roll (shrimp tempura inside, spicy kani crunch & masago on top with spicy mayo sauce). Also got an eel sauce on the side. Pros: - Restaurant was clean. - Was immediately greeted by a very friendly lady. - The Santa Roll presentation was so pretty! (Sorry, no pics, I was hungry and dived in). - The roll tasted sooo good! Shrimp was nice and firm, not soggy. Kani had excellent texture. Masago was slightly lacking in portion, but still good. 5* - They actually included my side of eel sauce (after so many disappointing times when ordering a side of this and getting charged at other places and not getting my eel sauce, it was refreshing to know this place pays attention to their online side orders). I am obsessed with eel sauce so this was a big deal for me. Cons: - It's a very unassuming place that you wouldn't really know was there. - Getting in or out of their parking lot sucks. Overall: Very friendly folks here and great food. Don't let the unassuming location be off putting. I normally wouldn't have tried it just because of the location, in a strip mall by other random stores, but don't let that fool you. They have great food, great service. Highly recommend!

The server was overwhelmed. She had no support by the kitchen. Waited over 45 minutes for our order. The product was average at best, not worth the price. I would have been much happier with sushi from a grocery store. I feel bad for the server because she was trying. The table next to ours had the same experience.

If I don't have any photos from sushi restaurant,it's probably means there is nothing to write home about. For positive things I would mention nice interior with cute fishes on the wall, friendly personnel and extremely creative sauces served with almost every sushi rolls we had. It's rare for average restaurant to serve different sauces for different rolls and those rolls were really nice. Especially the one with sakura roll and dynamite roll. Now to negative stuff. We had to wait 45 minutes after ordering to get the food. I understand that they had a lot of takeout orders, but they didn't offer any on the house food or discount for so long wait, until I flagged down someone and asked if they could at least offer us miso soup while we waited. Rolls were nice, but for 16 dollars you can expect more fish and bigger rolls. So,all in all,if you are in the area ,maybe this is good to try,but not worth a trip.
