Was driving through on our way to Richmond and so happy we stopped here! The food was absolutely delicious and tasted so fresh. The staff were all so kind. Highly recommend and looking forward to going back!
I recently saw reviews about this newer Afghanistani restaurant in Stafford and went one day for lunch. The reviews were very positive and when I got there, they were really busy at lunch time on a weekday. There was only one guy working the dining room and he did a pretty good job keeping an eye on each table, taking orders, bringing food out, etc. The restaurant is very clean and orderly. Zamarod Kabob Restaurant is a newer Afghanistani restaurant in Stafford. It is very clean and orderly. The tables were all newer and even had white table clothes. The menu is filled with all the typical kabobs, but also some other interesting items, like Karahi, which is a style of tomato-based curry. The food is absolutely delicious and tasted so fresh. Everything was seasoned to perfection, fresh, flavorful, authentic, and made with so much care. The quality of the food is exceptional, and the taste is honestly unforgettable. The chicken kabob with a side of spinach was great, the chicken tasted great, and the rice was flavorful. The chicken karahi comes with naan, but no rice. The flavors were nice and decently spiced. Meat was very tender too. The naan looked, smelled, and tasted great. Their green chutney was also pretty nice. A side dish of mast-o-khiar was outstanding. The Afghan Bolani was definitely the highlight. The hospitality was just as impressive. Everyone was incredibly kind, welcoming, and respectful.
