It was a millionaire dollar view and none of the stuffy feel that sometimes can come with. Next time we’ll stay the night in the lodge and give it a try for dinner and drinks. It’s a trek but worth it!“

“This was my second trip to the Lafayette Inn & Restaurant in Stanardsville. The first time was because I was roadtripping and ended up being so tired while on a roadtrip for work that I had to find a place to stay, and the second time was purposefully going out of my way to stay there again for two nights. I recommend this historic inn to everyone. The owners are welcoming. The place is so cozy and beautiful. I feel at home when I visit the Lafayette.“

“We had a lovely wedding-rehearsal dinner for 40 at Jack's last week. Kris made the planning easy for my niece Janie and me (we both live out of state) with excellent menu options, readiness to take on a new (Korean) dish for family members from Korea, and up-to-the minute flexibility. He planned and joined us at a wine tasting at Montefalco Vineyard, and guided our choices of wines that paired well with our menu. The dining room was perfect for our multi-aged crowd. The food was most excellent. Kris even brought in a Korean cook to manage the kitchen for the evening. We had a last-minute question if there was a gluten-free option on our menu, they prepared dish on the buffet gluten-free--that's over the top in my book! Kris's staff was so cordial and accommodating, providing what we needed. Such a delightful time with family & friends, food, and fellowship. “We love Early Mountain Vineyard! It is one of the most luxurious vineyards that we have been to, and the food is upscale and delicious. We have a specific love for their white wines. What sells it for us is allowing dogs on their patio, as we hate to leave our 4-legged friend behind!“

My wife and I stopped in at Maybelle's on 3 occasions over the course fo a few days to 1) fill up with gas, 2) buy a cold drink after a vigorous bike ride) & 3) to buy sandwiches + salad for a sunset picnic in the Shenandoah. The staff were helpful and friendly.“
