Came across this business on FB a few days before a field trip to Staunton, VA for my daughter. Field trip day was Thursday and Giancarlo is only open for retail hours on Friday’s and Saturday’s. I was so bummed, but I sent a message to see if they would let me make a special order for Thursday pick up, and they did!!! We ordered three tarts. Someone would be lying if they ever gave this place less than 5/5 stars for a review. The pastries really are made with love and the owners there are full of love as well. It really feels like you’re visiting your nonna’s house when you come here. Cannot recommend enough.
I came in here today for the first time, I’m very happy to have found a bakery around here that makes Italian/europeron pastries. To be more specific they make bread, croissants, cake, muffins and more. I got sfogliatelle which were delicious and filled perfectly. I got an eclair, cannoli and the baked apricot vanilla custard.
