Newtown Bakery is for the relaxed but appreciative crowd. They may be slow to order or particular about seating but there is a reason why. Every dish they serve is made with care. This place is an experience to cherish. I would suggest one of there many delish pizzas! Go with relaxation and stomach fulfillment in mind and you'll leave happy!

Customer service was the worst! No one talk to us for 10 minutes waiting to order. We were the only ones in the bakery we had to wait for them to finish hanging out before they took our order. After we ordered they told us they were closing and 20 minutes. Would’ve been nice to know ahead of time so we didn’t have to scarf down are food!!!

It was simply ok. Would have likely ordered something else but was forced to wear a mask and couldn’t wait to get out (personal choice for them and and me obviously). If Covid ever ends, or they stop the mask requirement, I will come back

What a gem! Food was fresh, healthy, generous, and delicious, but what makes this place is the people! Such refreshingly human joy and love in the midst of this world of masks!

If you are wearing a gray sweatshirt with the name in blue of a college on it, this place is likely not for you. From what I had to endure witnessing tonight. Some cue-ball domed clown asking for his money back. This is a local business that makes the best pizza in the world. The style is CHARRED CRUST in places. It is delicious in the esteem, I imagine, for people who've worldly experience traveling the world and are open to originality. Be forewarned. Because if you are asking for your money back because of the slightly charred crust ... you are RUINING it for the rest of us. Because we love this pizza and want it to survive. Newtown Bakery cannot withstand your Domino Pizza / Pizza Hut fetishistic taste level. Go somewhere else. If you cannot see how HARD these people are working, how perfect the pizza, and you are that petty ... try Flying Pan Pizza; it's pretty good. You'll like it, and it's fast. You can be in and out and be in your matching gray sweatpants in time to watch CNN evening news. Stop. Go somewhere else. And leave us to enjoy the best pizza in the world. We need Newtown Bakery to survive. If they have to refund you because you have no understanding .... that is my only point.

Delicious food, friendly staff, and adorable atmosphere! We sat outside and listened to the live music while we ate Caesar salad & sweet corn pizza

We are local. Haven't been to Newtown Baking since before Covid started, until Friday, 723/21. The stafff was pleasant, although constantly complaining of being under-staffed. The menu had few offerings: 2 pasta dishes, pizza, and only one desert - at a bakery! The food took FOREVER to come out and, in fact, our friends' orders did not come out until they were walking out the door (They did send it home with our frined's at that point at no cost). We had to send pizza back (burned on bottoms, VERY scant toppings, taste of what topping were used did not meld well for taste, and very small pizza for the price So disappointing! We used to love their sandwiches, but they are no longer offered. They are now not open for lunch at all! Don't know if it has changed hands yet again? They need something similar to what "Bar Rescue" does for bars on TV. Seriuosly!

I’m a customer of long standing. We had guests and ordered pizza from Newtown. I don’t mind paying more for farm to table and quality but Newtown has pushed this way too far. I found that prices were up and quality was down. The pizzas are considerably smaller— almost personal size and $15+ each-and the once generous toppings are now thinly applied and skimpy— to the point that you can’t taste much. Salads are also greatly reduced in size and less fresh. My daughter ordered more since the usual order was not enough and everyone was shocked at the price. It cost $80 to satiate 5 adults and two small children. Too much! The Pizza Verde was not a good invention. No one liked it. Several of the pastries are much smaller. I’m so disappointed in their cost citing measures.
