Came across this business on FB a few days before a field trip to Staunton, VA for my daughter. Field trip day was Thursday and Giancarlo is only open for retail hours on Friday’s and Saturday’s. I was so bummed, but I sent a message to see if they would let me make a special order for Thursday pick up, and they did!!! We ordered three tarts. Visiting for the weekend, and went to find Giancarlo's. He's the really-real deal! We left with quite a few pastries! Take the time to hunt down this treasure. He and his wife are charming as well. 5+ stars absolutely!
My son and I on a whim stopped by and ordered an assortment of desserts. They did not make it home :) absolutely delicious and we will be back!

The cannoli's are exquisite, and best in the world. Prices are reasonable considering the excellent quality. The bakery is located in a house with parking available in the alley behind the building. Directions to the back are on a yard sign. Once you open the door you can smell the flavors of fresh baked bread and pastries. It's an ideal spot for satisfying your sweet tooth and meeting the passionate chef. **The pastries really are made with love and the owners there are full of love as well. It really feels like you’re visiting your nonna’s house when you come here. Cannot recommend enough. They make bread, croissants, cake, muffins and more. They got sfogliatelle which were delicious and filled perfectly. They got an eclair, cannoli and the baked apricot vanilla custard. Giancarlo is the really-real deal!
