We reserved a table ahead of time. The service was great. The food was great. Totally recommend.

Parking: Parking may be a bit of a challenge, but still a close walk.

Kid-friendliness: Normal menu, but kid friendly service.

I have been eating briyani at various places across US and I would say without any second thought that this place has the worst briyani. We ordered 2 chicken briyani 1 lamb briyani and a veg thali. Looking at the google rating we thought it is going to be a great restaurant. Unfortunately the food taste was below average. The briyani is no where close to how a real briyani tastes. I am still wondering how they got 4.5 star rating in google reviews. No complaints on the service. Just the food doesn't taste as it should be. I hope soon they will hire a good cook to improve the food quality and taste.

Vegetarian options: The vegetarian food was definitely ok. But never ever try their briyani. They just don't know how a real briyani tastes.

Quite possibly the best Indian food we’ve ever had! Shrimp poori app was amazing and main dishes were perfect! We had chicken korma and chicken tikka masala at medium hot heat. Will definitely be our go to when in Staunton!

Our favorite restaurant in the area! Generous portions, authentic cuisine, friendly staff, what more could you want? As good as any Indian restaurants we’ve visited coast to coast. You will fall in love!

Dietary restrictions: Awesome vegan and vegetarian options!

We saw the table being cleaned for us, no antiseptic used, just a wet cloth mopped over the table and tableware placed. Our server was attentive and paid attention to details. Food overall was good but grill items came a bit too charred. Tea was old and served after being microwaved! That’s a thumbs down from a chai enthusiast

I am not really one to leave reviews, but feel the need to after our takeout meal from Taste of India. I also feel like I must qualify my experience with Indian food. I grew up moving every few years with my family (who has always held Indian cuisine in their top 3). Several years in Singapore. London, and NYC along with a ten day trip through Rajasthan has filled my life with a lot of Indian food.
Not only was tonight’s road trip stop takeout from Taste of India in my top 5 Indian meals, but I think the best takeout experience I’ve had. Everything was ripping hot, packaged well, incredibly delicious, and, most importantly, extra spicy which we requested. I am bummed out that this restaurant is 7 hours from our home, but will absolutely be making it a priority to stop for a meal here whenever we are nearby.

I have been to this restaurant a few times. The server was the same every time and I’m not sure that there is anyone else serving.
On my last visit I felt like I was a bother and truly the only time I asked for anything outside of my order was when I ordered a chai tea when I first sat down but I still did not have it when my meal came out. I went to ask and he knew exactly what I was asking for, cut me off and said I needed to wait. I truly felt like I frustrated him for asking and it was uncomfortable.

The food is very good. The portions are generous and cooked to perfection.

Overall, we will continue to go back for the food and I will try to lower my expectations for tea next time and stick to something easier.

Very good dishes once you zero in on what to order off their extensive menu. This is a reliable, popular Staunton restaurant with a hardworking small staff that is simultaneously dealing with a lot of take-out orders-- if you arrive and they are slammed, recommend coming back in half an hour or so so you aren't frustrated with slow service--they are doing their best!
