Loved this place so much we visited twice in a 3 day trip! Great wine and spectacular grilled cheese - but honestly the best was the warm hospitality of Jen and Leslie! You will miss a great experience if you don’t visit!
My wife and I were in Staunton for two nights with friends and had the good fortune to stop in for a glass of wine and a cheese board. We were treated so well, and we liked it so much, that we returned for lunch the next day. It felt like Cheers to us: the people are the biggest and best asset of the Yelping Dog. Do not underestimate the grilled cheese sandwich selection! We split the creamy tomato soup and the Lady Bird. Sandwiches are not huge, but just right. Reasonably priced wines. Service was friendly and attentive. Atmosphere is warm with low light moody vibes.
