I love this place! I just wish I lived closer! I ate at the bar before going to the Blackfriars Theatre. All within walking distance. I am not sure which part of the tomato burrata dish I like best... the homemade pesto was so fresh and garlic-y but not too garlic-y - the balance was perfection. the tomatoes were cut extra thick and the burrata was creamy. Summer on a plate. (very good selection of wines by the glass too)
I planned an afternoon and overnight stop in historic Staunton, Virginia on my way to vacation in PA. There are so many options in this lovely town but I made a reservation at Zynodoa because I have been on a farm-to-table kick lately.

The servers and hosts were all lovely, interacting with both the guests and each other professionally and amicably. My server Sarah gave me as much attention as anyone else, even though I was the only person dining alone.

We’re not strangers to tasting menus with wine pairings and have had some noteworthy ones throughout the Country- Zynodoa ranks right up near the top of our list.

Had the tasting menu with the wine pairings last night and we were genuinely impressed with each and every element and flavor of what was presented. The wines paired seamlessly with each dish, and the 20-year Tawny from Dow was a serious eye-opener.
