Got the oxtail on rice. Why is there Chickpeas in the Rice and peas?! The gravy was way too sweet. Someone must've mixed up the salt with the sugar. But even if you are using sugar, it's supposed to be brown sugar. The meat was rubbery and dry. No cabbage? No way! Go to Silver Spring and try Negril.

I mean talk about flavors, grandpa Hanks can tell you all about it. The food his serving is SOOOO GREAT but spicy!!!! Grandpa Hank's Jamaican Kitchen, located inside the Holiday Inn in Sterling, is a carry-out service within the O'Malleys Irish Pub. The restaurant offers a variety of Jamaican dishes, including Jerk Chicken Leg Quarters (with rice, beans, and cabbage), Beef Patties, and a Jerk Chicken Sandwich with Yucca Fries. While the presentation and taste were not entirely authentic to some reviewers, the overall experience was positive. The Jerk Chicken and Beef Patties received high praise, with one customer describing the Jerk Chicken as the "best ever" and the Beef Patties as "not tasting frozen at all." The Jerk Sauce was also highlighted as being "amazing and pretty spicy." Despite the unexpected setup, Grandpa Hank's Jamaican Kitchen seems to offer a satisfying taste of Jamaican cuisine for carry-out customers.
