“Each time I go, everyone is so friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere is fantastic! The best seating is outdoors, and if the weather gets chilly, there is a basket of blankets inside that you can borrow from to keep you cozy. It's like going to your best friend's house and spending the day out back with good games, great food, and the best company! I highly recommend stopping in!“

Vintner's Cellar Winery of Yorktown Wine Bar • $$
1213 George Washington Memorial Hwy suite c, Yorktown - 1.46 miles

“Had a great wine tasting experience here today! Brandon, the owner, was so much fun, and you can tell he is passionate about what he does. It was interesting learning about how these wines are made since they are different from your typical winery. Everything was so good that it was hard to pick just a few to purchase at the end. Don’t be hesitant to try them if you are a dry wine fan - I usually drink dry wines because I find most sweet wines too syrupy sweet, but these were delightfully fruit forward and sweet from the infused fruits. You can’t find something like this in the grocery store. I’ll definitely be back to purchase more!“

“The greatest culinary mystery of Hampton Roads is how Taste makes their multi-grain bread taste so good! Plenty of crunchy crust, pillowy soft interior, thick enough to where it holds up the sandwich ingredients, but not too thick to where it overwhelms the other ingredients. My go to's are the Beach Club (roast beef instead of ham) and the Northender (Swiss cheese instead of Havarti and house dressing instead of basil mayo). Don't skip on the house or hot house dressings. The bottles aren't cheap, but it's the chef's kiss to these sandwiches. And major props for having Dr Brown's soda and Route 11 chips! Parking is usually a challenge, so if you get a spot on the street, count your blessings. Plenty of seating and there's also a lot of grab and go options as well.“

“This was my first dinner experience at Schlesinger's. It was a week night so it wasn't crowded. We had reservations and arrived a few minutes early. We were promptly seated, our hostess was very pleasant and helpful with recommendations. The restaurant has comfortable seating with linen place settings. The service was great. Our choices from drinks, to appetizers to entrées were so good. The Seafood Trio and the Pork chop with apples was cooked perfectly. Compliments to the chef. The sides we had were Schlesinger's potatoes and the Broccoli au gratin delicious. I hope to come back soon“

“Nice little local Italian place. Their red sauce is a tiny bit too acidic for me but still mighty tasty. I highly recommend the Trietto Alla Vodka. Besides that, I typically get the baked ziti, Melanzane Ripiene, chicken Parmigiana, lasagna, or chicken sorentino (when they have it).“
