“We stopped here on the way home from Sky Meadows State Park and we're glad we did! It's not very big, but the inside is beautifully decorated (each table and booth is painted with scenes of Mexico) and each table has a massive collection of hot sauces. The food is great too: my wife and I ordered fajitas for two and they came sizzling hot and tasty. Our kid loved the tacos and burritos on their kids menu as well. Highly recommended and much cheaper than most of the New American places in this part of Virginia targeting the winery crowd.”

“Last night, our party of six had the pleasure of dining at Girasole, an Italian restaurant located in the charming town of The Plains, Virginia. We were celebrating my mother-in-law's retirement, and Girasole proved to be the perfect spot for our special occasion.

The service was absolutely outstanding, deserving a full five stars. Our waitress, Gabriele, went above and beyond to ensure we had a wonderful time. Her attentiveness and friendly demeanor made us feel incredibly welcome and well-cared for. She truly contributed to making our celebration memorable.

We indulged in a variety of beverages, including mixed drinks, wine, and beer, all of which were excellent. The appetizers were amazing, setting the stage for an equally impressive main course. Each dish was flavorful and beautifully presented.

One of the highlights of the evening was that Girasole allowed us to bring in a custom cake. They graciously cut and served it as if it were their own, even adding a delightful touch of powdered sugar sprinkle, which was a thoughtful and much-appreciated detail.

The restaurant itself has a super quaint and charming atmosphere, perfectly fitting for an Italian eatery. The chic bathroom added to the overall pleasant experience.

Overall, our experience at Girasole was exceptional. From the delicious food to the outstanding service, especially from Gabriele, everything contributed to a memorable celebration. I highly recommend Girasole to anyone looking for a delightful Italian dining experience in The Plains, Virginia.”

“I ordered two Cortados (forgot to take pics), both were very good. I got one with whole milk and one with almond milk( I always wanted to try, but after tasting I don’t recommend). I definitely suggest staying with the whole milk. Very cool atmosphere and the owners were extremely nice and friendly. They wanted to listen to their customers and see if there was any drinks they could consider adding to the menu. I told them plain sparkling water to have with the cortado and they liked the idea and were going to look into getting some. Not many coffee shops where the owners are so welcoming, friendly and ears open. I recommend stopping in and getting a coffee of your choice, you won’t regret your experience.

Cortado ratings (I try to do with all places I visit):

(only because it didn’t come with a sidecar) but 3 bc it came in the right glass. Lots of places don’t know how to serve a proper cortado.

“We just had lunch at Marshall Diner. We had Rubens, burgers, hotdogs, chicken tenders, biscuits & gravy (there were 8 of us) everything including the sweet tea was excellent. “Visited for the first time tonight as my son is a new employee and it seemed like the right thing to do. The food: I had the Fried Goat Cheese salad and the Baked Potato Soup. The salad was excellent. Lots of field greens and plentiful toppings. Fried Goat Cheese is always a winner. The Baked Potato Soup was also fantastic. Plentiful toppings and excellent rashers! The staff: Friendly and attentive. As an employer: Great family business approach and an extension of the village that parents count on to help raise their children. All around great experience.”

“King Street Oyster Bar in Downtown Middleburg is truly a gem, the food is fresh & delicious. The service was flawless, the drinks are very creative and tasty. The gelato is by far THE BEST gelato I have ever tasted. They also offer a great variety of food & Drinks for their Happy Hour. ❤️❤️”

“Went on Sunday 4/27 group of six and what a splendid thoroughly enjoyable experience. Its a brewery and a winery. had their Irish Red Ale beer, highly refreshing and Chardonnay Reserve. Food was surprisingly also good. flatbread, pizza and cheese platter. Staff was very professional and warm, the view is just spectacular with multiple indoor and outdoor options!! overall 10/10”

“We went here for Mother’s Day brunch. It was very good. The food was tasty and the service was great. It was a long drive from DC, but very nice to be in the country side. The steak and eggs were good, eggs over cooked a bit. The roasted Brussels sprouts were excellent. And the peanut butter pie awesome! The bloody mary was one of the best I’ve had. Not too spicy. I’d definitely recommend this place.”
