Such a beautiful drive from Oakton to a charming place. Service and the choices of tea were wonderful.

We love Crest Hill for afternoon tea! It’s such a hidden gem — the food and tea are always delicious, and the owner and staff are so friendly. We cannot recommend them enough!

Oh dear. With all the positive reviews we had to try it. The positives: booking is easy & they send you confirmation emails and texts. That is appreciated. They carry a large selection of teas which is wonderful. There is something for almost everyone. The waitress/manager is sweet, welcoming, and easy to chat with. We would love to say more, but it ends there.

Atmosphere / vibe: The decor and plates are eclectic, a style we love, but none of it blends. It was a mess. The room is filled with items for sale, one can not miss the big price tags. It looks like you are sitting in a yard sale. The music is regular radio and does not fit into an afternoon tea experience. It was rather distracting.

Tea: They have a really neat concept, they offer little jars to smell the teas. A really neat concept, but I am not so sure putting ones nose in a small container that others have as well is very hygienic.

Food: I recognize the soup right away. It's canned lipton. It went down hill from there. There wasn't a single thing we finished. It looked beautiful, but the taste was not good. One item that really threw us off was the cucumber sandwich. It tasted like it had Dijon muster. I like Dijon, but it doesn't go well with cucumber & cream cheese.

Although the price point is attractive, it is not worth it. It needs more than just improvement, it needs a complete reboot.

Sigh.

We've been here several times. Excellent food and tea service. Do try Lady Grantham Diamonds and Gold Tea. Jade is most attentive and knowledgeable. Worth the beautiful drive. The Full Monty is always a favorite and The Winter Tea is seasonal.

The afternoon tea leaves much to be desired. The food, specifically the sweet treats, were clearly from the grocery store and the salad was inedible. When I asked about allergens, the staff simply repeated what each item was called, and did not give much reassurance that it was allergen-free. The tea was tasty, but otherwise definitely not an enjoyable experience.

Best place to get a real tea experience! The pricing is super cheap for the amount of food you get, not to mention the service and ambience is impeccable. I like to go monthly to try their seasonal sets and pick up their unique loose leaf teas.

The staff are also friendly and friendly. The Christmas limited menu, sold only in December, is also excellent. There are a variety of teas and both sandwiches and scones are good.

We enjoyed a delightful Christmas Tea at Crest Hill. If you haven't visited, you need to. Quite a special place with exquisite menu selections.

This tea shop was recommended to me in a Facebook group and I’m glad I went!

Atmosphere: this tea shop is nestled away in a cute quaint little town. The shop is smaller, with about 8 tables of various sizes to sit customers. During the holidays it is decorated with Christmas decor and other decor on the walls. It gives a very “home like” vibe. They do recommend reservations due to space but are glad to take walk ins.

Service: we were served by a very kind gentleman who explained the menu to us and was very attentive. He was friendly and knowledgeable about tea selections and gave us great recommendations. We decided on the Christmas menu

Food: The Christmas menu was delightful! The bones were my absolute FAVORITE. My son and I tried one of each scone from the Christmas menu and loved both. The sandwiches were also amazing. We had 4 different types and the ham and Brie with cranberry chutney was a winner in my book. The tea was great with hints of flavors that didn’t overpower.
I highly recommend this tea shop
