This is our "go to" eatery. I honestly thought I'd reviewed it long ago. Locally owned and operated, the friendliest staff around and great food are what you can expect from this local treasure. You should note, however, that this is a traditional "seafood shack". No AC, picnic tables and indoor/ outdoor seating. They do have ceiling fans and stand fans to keep the air moving, but it can get pretty hot. Don't let that stop you (we don't!) but be aware. They are also the only place in the area, as far as I know, that you can get a traditional crab feast of fresh steamed, local crabs. I recommend the soft shell sandwich or the Baja Fish Tacos, though my wife always gets the steamed shrimp. Oh and don't forget the hushpuppies and crab dip!

Good food, good service, and good people..

It seemed nice when my family and I first arrived. But as we sat down we were swarmed by about 6 flies, the staff seemed pretty nice. The food was soggy and undercooked and the crab cakes still had lots of pieces of shell in them. All of our sodas were flat and we traded them in for water and in the end we were still charged for the sodas that were flat. DO NOT RECOMMEND, FAR FROM GOOD SEAFOOD.

This place is a treasure tucked away in Urbanna. It is right on the water with beautiful views. We only tried the oysters, but they were fantastic and we will definitely be coming back again. The management was also very helpful and friendly. Prices were fair too.

It was so g*d damn hot, yet I still give this place 5 stars. If you want to sit and eat 5 feet away from where they shuck oysters this is the place to go. Maybe I shouldn't say that because it was perfectly clean and the food is delicious fried goodness.

Same ambiance as the much-touted Merroir, but better food at about half the price.
