We went in for the first time. Greeted friendly, service was fast, very nice. I asked for blackberry sauce for my bbq sandwich and it didn’t come in the box. It was kind of dry without the sauce. Collards were good but a little spicy. the orange drink tasted off. The turkey club was decent. Mac and cheese was good.

Service was excellent and staff was very welcoming and attentive. Food portions were large and filling, however the food was served lukewarm and could have used some heating up. Restaurant was cold.
Parking: Spots are limited. Can get pretty crowded.
The staff were friendly and provided service with a smile. I had the two meat plate (meats were the ribs and brisket) with two sides( bacon Mac & cheese and collard greens) with sweet potato rolls. My favorite items were the ribs and brisket. I was excited about the sweet potatoes roll but was disappointed due to the give off uncooked cookie vibes. 🥺. Overall I think if you like ribs, then you will love this place.

Not a place I would revisit. The smoked wings were not bad but only the flat pieces were good drums were dry and i didn't like that they fry them after smoking. Brisket was moist and tender but lacked flavor. That turkey was the worst very dry no flavor cardboard like didn't even bother to eat that. Those sweet potato "rolls" were cold pieces sweet dough. Very disappointed.

Simply Best BBQ ever. Purchased by the pound to host a large gathering. Did so last minute. The owner/manager was so kind to work with us and provide options to allow for an excellent selection for all. Everyone loved the BBQ, racks of ribs, and tons of sides. Seven attendees added A Taste of Texas to their list of contacts before leaving for home.

If you are craving some flavorful, mouth-watering, can't stop eating this, delicious barbecue then RUN don't walk to A Taste of Texas! Their food is phenomenal, the owners are friendly ( there was some confusion on our order with the kids bacon mac n cheese bowl, we thought it came with a side, but it doesn't. The owner brought us a basket of fries anyways which was super sweet ?) I got a pulled pork sandwich and potato salad and my hubs got the 2 meat platter with baked beans and bacon mac n cheese as his sides. My sandwich was enormous & the red potato, potato salad was so good, as were the baked beans and mac n cheese (of course i tried his food ?) the meat is so yummy on its own that you really don't even need the sauce you get with it, but it's there if you'd like to use it. GO NOW & GET SOME BBQ FROM THEM. YOU WON'T REGRET IT!!

Best BBQ we have found, so sad it took us this long to finally try it! Brisket was delicious and tender, the chicken was amazing it's smoked but not dry at all...if I could just have an order of the crispy chicken skin! I believe we met the owner who brought our food out to us, the service was so welcoming you'd think he was working for a tip! He came back to check on us after we received our food and came back with a variety of sauces to try, as well as a cookie for my daughter. My husband and I shared the two meat platter and ordered a half rack of ribs , it was more than enough meat for us and ALL of it was delicious nothing disappointed us!
