stopped in today for a late lunch, had the Neptune combo, everything was absolutely amazing and cooked perfectly! loved the fish topped with shrimp scampi sauce! And had waitress named Alexis which was very good waitress. looking forward to coming back on other VB visits
I have known Lexi - who is a part of management at LO - for over a decade now. She is one of the few persons in VB that I know I can have a respectful conversation with about our values and morals, and mental health. Lexi has always demonstrated herself to be an advocate for all and I am confident that she creates an atmosphere of respect and non-discrimination at LO. Plus, their food is tasty!
Came to the Lucky Oyster with family and it is our come to, when we visit! I had the Pungo Farms Chicken fried Chicken, garlic mashers, and green beans; it was the best I have ever had! Everything was homemade and tasted incredible! My wife had the nachos, they were the best also! And the service was fantastic!!!

Lucky Oyster Seafood Company is a popular spot for many families in the Red Mill area. The menu offers a variety of delicious dishes, with the fried shrimp being a standout choice. The Neptune combo and Neptune's Broil are cooked to perfection, with seafood served hot and flavorful. The restaurant has a decent kids menu, making it a good option for families. The atmosphere inside pleasantly surprises guests, and the friendly staff contribute to a positive dining experience. Some customers wish for more flexibility with substitutions, especially for items like The Broiled Neptune's Feast and The Outer Banks Fried Platter. Parking can seem chaotic, but guests usually find a spot quickly, even if it appears busy. The staff has always been amazing, from the hostess to the bartender, and the food is consistently really good. The atmosphere is wonderful, and the portions are generous, with the fish fried to perfection. While some customers would like more seasoning, the option to use Old Bay at the table is a nice bonus. Overall, Lucky Oyster is worth visiting for its tasty seafood offerings and welcoming environment.
