Got a breakfast burrito and a coffee. Not sure if it was in the salsa already or it was added, but there were sprigs of cilantro that weren’t listed as an ingredient on the board. I am genetically inferior and have been cursed with the soap gene, so it made a few bites unpleasant.

Updated April 2026:

This place had added more things. More craft coffee beverages, breakfast items from the kitchen, refrigerated imported sparkling drinks, even body oils in the merchandise corner. I got the dirty chai which was good. Service was a little slow even for my dirty chai I had to be seated to wait. Staff was prompt to take my order.

Baja Coffee Co is one of those places that just does it right. Great coffee, chill atmosphere, and really friendly people behind the counter. It’s easy to pop in for a quick cup or hang out for a bit without feeling rushed.

The coffee is consistently good (which matters), and the vibe is laid-back without trying too hard. Every time I’m in Virginia Beach, this is a go-to stop.
