I've been to over 15 American Chinese restaurants in Virginia Beach and this is currently my favorite. The only one that doesn't serve hard broccoli when I order Shrimp & Broccoli. Which is a big deal for me with having braces. General Tso's chicken just right also. Not too hard, soft, or spicy. Some people prefer it very spicy, but i'm not into food that makes me sweat for no reason. Scallops crust isn't bland either.

Best chinese food I've had in the three years I've been in VB. Quick service. Kept is temperature 10 mins later and flavor was 4.5/5. I do think the temperature made the wings and general tso lose its crispness. My new go to.

I ordered General Tao Chicken. The chicken was cooked slightly crispy but mostly soft/ mushy pieces were throughout the dish. It was drowned in this overwhelmingly sweet sauce. Had the sauce been spicy as it should have been, it might have been better balanced. Additionally, I ordered the fried chicken wings. The wings seemed old, like the actual meat itself was past its prime. I took one bite and discarded them as I didn’t want to get sick. For my final selection I ordered a chicken and shrimp (I think! The meat was not really detectable) spring roll. It was okay, a little soggy and undercooked as well. I explained that I only wanted a spring roll since I don’t like egg rolls. It had the texture of an egg roll. Doughy, thick and not crispy. I ordered on the recommendation of co workers who really enjoy this restaurant but it was a no for me personally. I expected to pay $15.00. - $20.00 because it was lunch, instead it was $30.00.

I called and placed an order for 4 entrees which they said would be ready in 10-15 min but we got there in about 8 minutes and it was ready!

The food was very hot, delicious, and fair portioned.

Definitely recommend, very friendly and welcoming people!

Great take out. Definitely one of the best in Hampton Roads. We used to have a favorite place but since Covid, it went downhill and became flavorless. We found China Sun after being disappointed with about a dozen other places and exclusively order from here now. Excellent food, huge portions, definitely fresh.

My wife and I moved to the General Booth/Princess Anne area 3 years ago. We've tried about 5 Chinese establishments in the area and finally found our favorite. China Sun is it. This place is definitely the best chinese food on this side of Virginia Beach. China Sun, please continue to do what you do. Don't change anything.

Ordered my food for delivery when I was about 10/15 min out from my house! They estimated about 30 minutes for delivery. However, they showed up right as I was backing into my driveway with a big smile and a beautiful bag of my favorite Chinese food!! Wish I could give 100 Stars ⭐️

My family and I LOVE China Sun! We usually get; Crab Rangoon, chicken with mixed vegetables, general tso chicken, and beef with broccoli. The donuts are really good too! Highly recommend as a takeout spot!
