My first time ever at Virginia Beach and my grandson, sister, and I happened upon Driftwood Kitchen. Absolutely the best thing that could have happened to us and such a wonderful find! Robbie was our server and we couldn't have found any better service anywhere! Food, service, and the welcoming feel made this place a must try, and for us, a must return!! Thank you Robbie for an amazing experience ?!!

Excellent service and food!! Randy was great!! We all enjoyed the food and atmosphere!! We had the Mahi Mahi fingers for an appetizer & crab soup to start!! Delicious!! Fried shrimp dinner with stomped potatoes & grilled asparagus, Blackened Tuna with stomped potatoes & broccoli salad, Greek Salad and a Black Bear Salad both with Shrimp!! Everything was fresh and delicious!! We will definitely be back next year on our vacation.

Only good things to say about this place! Parking was easy, and the staff were very, very welcoming. We called in first to see if the place was pet friendly, and they were. They have a nice and cute place to seat outside to seat with dogs. You can hear the ocean, the are is pretty cool and wasn't so busy, but granted it was a Wednesday in April so I don't know how busy it can get on summer. But when we arrived, with my two German shepherds the staff right way gave us bowls for water for them and they immediately came to say hi to us (actually to the dogs ). Our server, Randy was sooooo nice! He was funny and gave us honest opinions on all the items on the menu and went out of his way to accommodate us and our huge pups!I ended up getting the tequila mahi mahi with a side of broccoli salad and pasta a la vodka. This was a very good dish. The mahi mahi was big and I barely could eat it haha My husband got the crab cakes with the potatoes and a Caesar salad (the Caesar salad portion was GOOD!) For apps we got the blackened tuna and the oysters Rockefeller. The tuna was really good! Blackened to perfection! But the oysters Rockefeller were the best I have ever had hahaha I swear!Doggos loved all the attention and they even got a doggie treat from staff! They of course loved and approved hahaha5 star staff, food and place!I definitely will come back!

Beachy!, feels like it belongs in Virginia Beach, laid-back!! Service is exactly as you would expect in a restaurant. Every member of the staff is ready to serve you and they go out of their way to let you know. Looking at their other reviews obviously I’m not the only one that thinks that. You will feel so special, but you’ll forget all about that as soon as you start tasting the food, which is….. let’s just say be careful and eat slow, might be impossible but try. I ate more than I should have and I’m going back again for sure and soon! Thank you all so much.I haven’t been out to eat for a loooong time and it was perfect!!!

Unassuming place that has VERY good food. The tuna medallions with a whole seed mustard sauce were excellent. The blackened crab cakes were delicious and didn’t have a lot of breading. They were served with a sriracha aioli. For sides the potatoes were crispy and well seasoned, while the broccoli salad was as good as my MIL makes. I would highly recommend this place for mostly adults. They didn’t have a kids menu, although my daughter was able to get a cheeseburger that wasn’t on the menu. There is no dedicated kid’s menu. There’s also a decent amount of seafood on the menu.
