I actually went yesterday and ordered two pig feet meals with cabbage, green beans and yams.I enjoyed the yams, the cabbage was also okay. The green beans were heavily salted.But the pigs feet were undercooked by about an hour.If you can't push a fork through it then it needs to be cooked longer.The issue is this is my second time ordering them. The first time they were perfect.This time they had a freezer burned taste.And today I have food poisoning.That was the only thing I ate yesterday too and today I'm paying for it.I spent almost $40 .I will say the lady behind the counter was friendly to me though. I just wish a little more care was given to the food.

First of all I literally came here for the Mac and that’s not Mac and cheese at all that macaroni noodles and some type of watered down cheese sauce . The chicken was ok could’ve used more seasoning and the yams are alright . For the price I paid I’m not satisfied at all . Actually quite disappointed in this . AND THERE ARE LITERALLY ROTTEN PIECES OF POTATOES IN MY POTATO SALAD . I know you wouldn’t feed that to your family smh just read in the reviews they don’t give refunds so I’m not going to waste my time even trying . Sad

I have been eating the food since 2019. Lately the food has been tooooo salty. I ordered bbq chicken slaw and yams. There was salt on the yams, the coleslaw, which made it unable to be eaten. Chicken was so salty. I wouldn’t give it to my worst enemy cut it off. The bone tasted the bone. It was overly too salty. They have a policy no returns no exchanges no refunds, their food taste way more salty than the Asians and the Jamaican s.Parking: None

Every time we visit Virginia this will be our first stop. We were lucky enough to meet Ellen herself when making our order. She was soooo welcoming and kind. Not surprised they have been in business over 15 years. She made us feel like family and the food did not fall short either. Food was filled with flavor and high quality ingredients. They make fresh pies & cakes also. We originally were going to DoorDash but the menu was not all listed so we called and she was so nice over the phone we decided to pick up and glad we did. If you live in Virginia you need to eat there often! If you are visiting Virginia add this to a place to stop for food and you will not regret it.

Ellen's serves the best catfish in town. The seasoning is just right. I can never make it home before opening the container. The lady who takes your order could provide better service though. She's a little rude and rushes people. I have experienced this more than once. Her aside, Ellen's has some of the best food around!

I did take out so I cannot comment on atmosphere. I can tell you that the personnel answer the phone at this restaurant. If there are questions, you can speak to someone even the owner. My baked chicken and potato salad was very tasty. Others in my party ordered the turkey wings which I was told were delicious and especially tender.

Ellen was an absolute pleasure to meet at her shop! She was so extremely kind to her customers, whether it was your first time there or she remembers you from before. The food was well priced, massive portions, the chicken was just falling right off the bone, and everything was so delicious! Unfortunately there are no tables or chairs so this is a takeout-only spot.Wheelchair accessibility: No stairs, ground level with wheelchair accessible parking spots available.

Why don’t you have an actual picture of your Mac and cheese on the website? It is gross!! And plain. At first I was skeptical because it looks like you’re walking up to a boutique shop rather than a restaurant but the reviews I read were good so I still gave it chance. The food is not good at all. $30 waste of money and they don’t offer refunds, there’s a sign right in the front. Never again, you’re better off making their menu at home.

I love Carolina BBQ more than anyone understands but I am incredibly picky about how it is done. This is the best Carolina BBQ I have had in a decade. It tastes like home. Yams are choice, collards are solid. Excellent southern comfort food. 5 Stars. Ellen is the best.
