First time at Gran Maya Mexican Grill. Came because of a coupon to check it out. I thought maybe it was a new place because they have “Yes we are open” on the windows (I really should remember to take pictures for the reviews). But the staff said they had been around a while just that the place doesn’t get a lot of traffic by it.

Since dining elsewhere at various local Mexican restaurants, we returned to Gran Maya last night. Our experience at Gran Maya was EXCEPTIONAL. I ordered simply - 3 Amigos Tacos with white rice and black beans. Basic but superb, the best I’ve had in Hampton Roads without question. Others folks at my table felt the same about their meal selections. Service was super fast and our server was perfect. Oh yeah, we’ll be back
