Service and ambience were very good. Wine selection was. Varied a more than adequate. The wedge salad was very good and flavorful but the entrees were somewhat lacking the duck was ok but the short ribs lacked flavor and I ending up not eating them they seemed dried out as if they were leftovers

This is one of my go-to local restaurants for my wife and I if we're looking to have a nice, classy meal. It's wild to think it's as nice as it is, tucked away in a corner of Va Beach - but the food is outstanding and the service staff Carrie's themselves similar to the teams of waiters at Ruth's Chris. The food is excellent and they make a good Old Fashioned. It is pricey - be ready to spend some money if you go - but you can't beat it if you're looking for an intimate place with great service, a nice ambiance, and awesome food.

As always, Heirloom was terrific. We always go there for special occasions. Service folks were lovely. The place was jammed as it was Saturday night and the night before Easter, so it was a little louder than it usually is but we could al hear each other which is more than you can do at most restaurants these days. I had the fantail shrimp which was divine.

Happy hour menu was what we looked at and decided to order from. Not that we weren’t interested in items off the dinner menu, just wanted to try many items and have dessert! Tom Collin’s was perfect and the fish tacos are a must try! Will be back when we’re on that side.

Phenomenal experience. Went to celebrate my birthday and they ended up wishing me a happy birthday and my husband and I a happy anniversary (it was a few days before, but they said OpenTable alerted them that it was recent). What a wonderful surprise! Drinks were delicious and food was excellent. Our server was incredible and attentive. We will be back!
Dietary restrictions: One of the first questions our server asked was if we had dietary restrictions. We don’t, but this proves they are on top of things and care!

My husband and I dined at this place for my birthday and we had a wonderful experience. Our server Candace and the whole staff were attentive and friendly, making sure we felt well taken care of throughout our meal. The food was delicious, with each dish thoughtfully prepared and full of flavor. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, creating the perfect dining experience. Highly recommend!
This was our first unpleasant experience at Heirloom, despite being regulars during the busier spring and summer months. We decided to have a girls’ night out and were greeted warmly by the hostess and the busser who filled our drinks. However, things quickly took a turn when we were served during Happy Hour. Our server seemed irritated that we were only ordering off the Happy Hour menu, even though we are all experienced in the food industry and understand the challenges of the job. We always tip generously, are polite, and don’t ask for substitutions.
Despite the server's attitude, we continued to enjoy our time catching up. As the Happy Hour crowd thinned out, many tables became available, yet we were suddenly told by the manager (or assistant manager) that we needed to leave because a reservation was coming for our booth at 8:00. This felt odd, given that reservations typically don’t specify exact tables and there were plenty of open seats. Moreover, the restaurant was closing at 9:00.
The manager sent a busser over to deliver the message, who seemed uncomfortable with the situation. Her tone was rude and passive-aggressive, and she even raised her voice when speaking to a member of our party who was simply asking a question. Her behavior was unprofessional, and we felt uncomfortable throughout the interaction.
Unfortunately, due to this experience, we will not be returning. It’s a shame, as we’ve always enjoyed Heirloom in the past, but the poor service and unprofessionalism left a lasting negative impression.
