I'm so glad we finally checked this restaurant out! Our server (I believe her name was Zoey) did a great job guiding us through our meal. We started off with Happy Hour. They had a great selection of food and beverages. The cocktails were beautifully crafted. We had the Blue Crab Nachos and they were delicious. For my Main Course I did the whole fish. Like she mentioned it was 1 1/2- 2 pound fish with the Head on. She did ask me if I knew how to break down the fish and was willing to offer pointers. I grew up with a Filipino Mom, so I was gonna be just fine. It came with coconut rice and plantains. The Fish (it was Sea Bass that day) was fried to perfection with all the crispy bits and the meat was moist and flaky. I thoroughly enjoyed my dining experience and will absolutely be back.
Sidenote: Our server also had a very uppity and smug couple at another table constantly saying snide remarks about the menu. She took it in stride and never broke a sweat with them.

Appointment only because the place is popular and fills up fast. Make yours way in advance if you can. The restaurant itself has a great visual appeal. Casually elegant. Food was phenomenal. We all got the Heirloom Burger and I highly recommend it. We tried the crab soup and it was so good I could have eaten two more bowls. Oyster Rockefeller for the seafood lovers was a delicious appetizer. And we even treated ourselves to blue crab nachos. They were fantastic. The attention to detail was spot on. They even left a special message on the menu for mom's birthday. Service was excellent. Servers were attentive and charismatic. I look forward to our next visit and trying more menu items.

This used to be my favorite restaurant however since change in management, the quality and value have really changed. It used to prided on fresh, farm to table, made in house scratch ingredients, but things feel and taste much different these days. I went there for my upcoming birthday and didn't even eat an entree, left mid dinner and just went home and made dinner instead.The restaurant was empty and despite that, every single table the hostesses seated were on top of each other in the back corner of the porch and we were not seated at our requested table in our notes. Usually the server greets and goes over specials or makes recommendations, but after about 15 minutes, when I asked about specials, “oh that's just our 50 oz tomahawk” and she walked off. The drinks have become overly complicated and the one I ordered was terrible, the base food menu hasn't changed for a while and feels old and unexciting despite them slightly changing seasonings and sauces, the staff seems apathetic and not as engaged or enthusiastic as before, and the food we received was blah at best, so again we left without even ordering dinner. The whole experience was disjointed and disappointing. I guess because we ordered a happy hour appetizer, we got lumped into the “not going to order much” crowd and that came to fruition. After spending $80 of what normally is a $300 bill, we were over it and did not want to continue. What was once our go to dining out experience a couple times a month has now sadly come to an end. I don't know if we will be returning.

Had dinner with my husband and my parents, and we enjoyed every moment. The food was phenomenal, EVERY dish was excellent. For starters we ordered the beet salad and the shrimp, so fresh and cooked perfectly. For the mains we ordered the fried chicken, the crab cakes, and the pimento cheese burger. No notes. 10 out of 10!!! Every dish and the sides were delicious! Our waiter Cole was so professional, friendly, considerate and accommodating. He did a fantastic job! We truly enjoyed Heirloom. My husband said this may be the best restaurant in the 757 and I absolutely agree!! A true gem! Get a reservation, they fill up quick! We will be back!

My wife and I celebrated her birthday at Heirloom - what a wonderful experience. We go to Heirloom on special occasions as we know we will never be disappointed. We were pleasantly greeted and led to our table when we first arrived and everything that came after was outstanding - the service, help in selecting just the right wine, the Oyster Rockefeller appetizers, main courses and dessert. Throughout the wait staff was attentive but not obtrusive - perfect. We will definitely go again. We are very lucky to have such a nice restaurant here in Virginia Beach.

We have been wanting to dine at Heirloom for close to a year, and our expectations were not only met but exceeded. The space is cozy and clean, and despite being full was not chaotic at all. We received hands down the best service we’ve had in a long time, not just from our server but from the support staff as well. We celebrated a birthday here this evening and our server (dark bob with awesome tattoos, I forgot to ask your name I’m so sorry) was incredible. Super welcoming and knowledgeable about the menu; we didn’t have to ask for anything because our needs were anticipated. They also covered a glass of birthday bubbles and dessert, which is SO kind and thoughtful :) Everything on the menu looked great, and needless to say, everything we ended up ordering was delicious. We enjoyed oysters, the warm olive small plate, and house made pasta for dinner; every single dish hit the mark. We also had the cheesecake trifle for dessert, and MY GOD it was fantastic. There is clearly thought and care put into the composition of the menu, and they offer a very well-curated wine list.
We will absolutely be back again, you guys are doing hospitality right. Thank you so much for a lovely evening. We truly enjoyed it.
