Believe the bad reviews. Food is okay. Ordered a mojito and it was meh. Didn’t really taste like a mojito. But what really set me off was the fact that they ADDED THEIR OWN TIP/ GRATUITY WHEN CHECKING YOU OUT. when I asked to see that policy the waitress said it was 4 or more, the menu said gratuity MAY be added to parties of 5 or more.. (it was me, my mother in law and my two toddlers and a 5mo old baby) and the one lady who “helps manage” said 3 or more… so it’s SUPER SHADY. The server blonde girl and I quote said “it’s been dead all day so I was just covering myself” …. By taking peoples money and hoping they don’t notice?? They should notify of that “policy” before guests sit down to eat. Because as a server myself, the service received wasn’t tip yourself 18-20% worthy. Smh. Shady shady shady business!

I always have a great time when I come to Johnny’s and beautiful Virginia Beach. Great people great food great atmosphere and they have great music every night. I highly recommend!

Trash and I should've known when I saw the sign that said no refunds or returns on drinks kuz as a bartender no respectable bar would ever have that sign unless they know their drinks and bartenders suck. The most sugary, disgustingly sweet margaritas ever. Pure trash.

The food was exceptional. Service was great for this little restaurant. Didn’t expect it to be so nice and it was surprising. I highly recommend it to everyone because it’s well worth it.

This was our first dinner stop during our vacation and Brittany set the bar high. She was friendly, gave us several menu recommendations, the service was fast and our cups were never empty. We enjoyed listening to the live music while we ate.The food was delicious and we olan to come back before we leave

We ate here about 3 years ago the last time we were in VA beach and remembered liking it so we came back. 10/10 best meal of our trip. We got the fish tacos, steak burrito, and kids fish and shrimp meals. The waitress and bar tender practically fought over serving us (I made them rock paper scissors for who got the honor) and we had a little laugh. Great food, great house margarita, and great live entertainment.

Service was good. Food ok, but really did not appreciate restaurant IMPOSING their own
gratuity (tip) on bill. Does not encourage one to return.

We waited over 45 minutes and never got our food (tacos), and the place was not busy, menus are very dirty, tables sticky, waitress was sitting in a booth, not attending guests who walk in.
