We are from New York and vacationing in VA Beach , we ventured out for a movie and decided to try Kelly’s tavern and it was amazing the food was fantastic and staff was super friendly!!
I walked in only planning to grab a drink because I honestly didn’t feel like ordering any food. But the person next to me had the most beautiful plate, and it immediately caught my eye. When the chef Brad came out, I complimented him on how gorgeous it looked, and he told me, “You have to try this, this, this…”
And wow — everything was absolutely amazing. The flavors, the presentation, the quality — perfect.

Typical bar food and atmosphere. The firecracker sandwich with chicken breast was meh, at best. The chicken was chewy in numerous bites and the flavor was disappointing. The white chicken chili was bland and didn't have much heat. Overall, I didn't hate the meal but I definitely wouldn't go out my way to order those items again. The tatter tots were tasty and crispy.
