Had a fabulous meal! My mom and I are gluten free and there were so many delicious options. Definitely try the buffalo fried oysters and red crab dip. We sat at the bar and Whitney offered fantastic service. She had great menu suggestions.

I haven't dined at a Legal Seafood restaurant in probably over 8 years. I used to live in another city that had several locations in the region and always had a delicious meal. The food here is just blah. I had fried oysters as an appetizer. They were the smallest I have ever seen in my life. They were about the size of my pinky finger nail bed. I also ordered the lobster mac and cheese. They brought out a whole lobster shell with mac and cheese in the middle and some on the plate. It was not seasoned or cooked well, didn't use a strong, flavorful cheese and it has lemon juice squeezed on the mac and cheese for some reason.
Oh and the tap water was nasty!
The ambiance is nice. That's the only nice thing I can say.
Side note: I googled ownership and noticed that it appears private equity bought the company in 2020 so like everything else in this country, it appears private equity has ruined what was a perfectly fine thing that we use to enjoy.

The manager Tom was an absolute delight. He was very nice to my husband and I. Our server was Ben and he deserves a raise. Ben was very attentive and friendly. The food was very tasty and perfectly cooked. If you've never been to this restaurant, you need to go. Great food and great service. Tom and Ben thank you again for the dining experience.

Doesn't meet even the basic standards of a decent seafood restaurant in New England. Not that fresh, over priced on the cheapest catches (seriously, lobster is a bottom feeder. I like it but it's not a $69 plate, it's like $6 a pound up north). Very limited selection, very limited style, very limited bar. Just another example of how virginia beach seriously misses the potential mark on seafood.
Ericka C was great attentive fast and caring she didn’t have an attitude and answered all of my many questions without being bothered all while being pregnant great first experience would return !

From the time you enter into the restaurant until you are seated, you are greeted with a smile from the entire staff. Everyone is will to serve and take care of the needs of the people that are there. The quality of food is outstanding and it us always fresh and prepared to perfection. Each dish is hot upon arrive and tast even better than it looks. This month is when they serve oysters and it is a treat, you should definitely try them. They are always fresh and prepared even better. I would recommend Legal Seafood to anyone who enjoy great seafood. Bravo Zulu!!!
The stuffed flounder was difficult to eat as my dining partner had to pick out tiny bones and it wasn't just the fish because of all it was stuffed with. The kids' cheeseburger was burned on the outside and very raw on the inside, won't be able to get my kid back. My other kid couldn't eat his crab roll with shells in every bite. The good parts- the crab legs, raw oysters, and bang bang cauliflower were all excellent and I can't forget Erica, our server, she did all she could to take care of us and made the visit as good as it was.
