Small, quiet and clean. We bring our kids in all the time. The pastries are delicious and made in house. It has native speakers and practically the only local place where you can go in and practice your Italian with the owner and other guests. It's a nice judgment free zone for my kids (and myself) who are learning to use a foreign language in every day situations. Some of my favorite things are a sfogliatella and the penne with tomato and basil. Honestly, don't me started...
Must go! Best spot in VB for authentic Italian food and the owner is so friendly! The food, products, and pastries are absolutely delicious. She loves to talk about Italy, her food, and the cafe.
It's a cute family owned restaurant but real hit or miss on meal quality. I definitely recommend getting the paninis which are great. I made the mistake of ordering the pasta special and it took so long to receive I had to ask to switch from dining in to take out. The staff was apologetic about the wait time and were nice enough to compensate with a free dessert. Unfortunately the meal was packaged poorly and the styrofoam container got warped and almost melted. Glad it was...
