My first (and second) time visiting this lovely little diner were memorable in several ways. The food is the star here, of course, with several types of food available for everyone to enjoy, and creative variations from originals as well.We enjoyed the pastries the most, which are definitely a must have when visiting. Buy several for the road because I'm positive you'll be nostalgic for the buttery fluffy goodness within a few minutes of leaving May's. Their quiches and pot pie were delectable! Believe me because we tried both. The breakfast sandwiches are a fancy take on the standard, and I must say the garlic aioli on the "BEC" just tipped me over the edge from just enjoying the sandwich to devouring it and licking the plate clean. They have a variety of basic and specialty morning beverages as well. I suggest trying the mint lemonade for a refreshing non-caffeinated option. The atmosphere was eclectic and homey. It brought to my mind thoughts of living in a small town, walking into a diner and - the staff knowing you well - ask if you want "the usual" while you sit next to the small fireplace reading your newspaper (or iPad). The service was great, greeting us with a smile and friendly attitude. They provided recommendations and options for our various tastes, and of course the best ones to bring home to the kiddos.May's will certainly be a frequented place whether it be a trip to the beach or just passing through.Parking: Few spots behind the store are free, marked by signs for May's. Several spots out front and the side street are pay only.Kid-friendliness: Many kid-friendly foods and treats.Wheelchair accessibility: Ramp out front from the sidewalk to the front door.

Extremely long wait time for your food, even in the off season. If you order a sandwich, be prepared to wait 15-25 minutes for it to be ready. I would recommend following Chick-fil-A's system of ordering to help speed up the process. Also, high prices and no seating.
Ohhhhhh mah lawd. This spot was the sweetest, homiest little bakery I've been to in such a long time. I tried the coffee cake and a lemon poppyseed scone along with a pistachio latte. ALL of it tasted like a heartfelt, homemade hug in pastry and coffee form. I'm smitten. I want to come back and eat everything else. The whole selection of baked goods looked positively delectable. And then there's a whole menu of other stuff as well? And lunch?! I might need to move in.
