my son took me and my husband here for my 70 birthday. And hubby turned 65. We absolutely loved it. Now there are some things I wouldn't try, like octopus, but we all got a different selection and we were all very happy! We walked out totally full, with our to go boxes. Large portions, delicious drinks! Give it a try. Going there was a good call.

Oysters Rockefeller for appetizer was over cheesed minimal bacon no real spiniach as advertized, again this is a tex mex spot so im not expecting grade A seafood so it is what it is, Tacos availible on the menu are only 3 seafood options you have to ask if they do any additional tacos, so I did, for Carne Asada, you get a tortilla and cooked steak (not seasoned) so I crutched on the hotsauce and some lime for some help. Honestly, maybe I arrived to early but, our waitress was really nice and though her English was minimal did her best to understand and assist us! I wanna give her props but she never really told us who she was ?, honestly the biggest concern is the average cost for anything is around 20 to 25 dollars, even for advertised drinks, and appetizers so it was a hard pill to swallow when we ordered 1 app 2 meals and 2 drinks and the bill pushed 200. Wish them the best though not my cup of tea.

Our sever Sandra was amazing. The food was delicious and very flavorful. My husband got the grilled snapper. I got the fried snapper. The portions are huge! We are definitely going back soon.

We were there on Saturday and it was horrible to see so much money spent on a simple dinner. They have a black menu in the background with specials and no prices because the dishes cost more than 130 dollars. Besides, we never asked prices but that dish was an exaggeration and mainly my partner ordered a michelada and the waitress insisted on taking the glasses away which seemed normal to us 😑 but my partner hadn't finished them yet and my God there was a cockroach swimming in the beer and the waitress flatly denied it and said it was a fly and noooo it was a cockroach which she said I'll talk to the manager and she never did! And she only took the michelada away from Bill and it was horrible to eat there. I ordered some coconut shrimp and I don't know why they brought them to me with Philadelphia cheese inside, they actually tasted horrible! I couldn't eat them, I'm sorry guys, they were all horrible! And in the end the waitress despite the cockroach never took back the tip included I mean 🙄 it doesn't matter but I got a cockroach 😂

1.) Horrible Service drink went dry never offered water till I asked.
2.) Woman waitresses were only concerned how they looked putting on makeup as I sat at the bar monitoring.
3.) No beans and Rice with the Shrimp tacos I ordered , I've always got beans and rice with a $20.00 meal .
4.) Never asked what king of tortillas did I want with my tacos, (you call this a chef) - corn tortillas maybe upon asking?
5.) .49 cent tip all I offered.... First time there will never come back!!!

Beware! My lunch was over $200 dollars! This restaurant will rip you off and not care. I came for lunch and ordered an appetizer, one chicken quesadilla (for my toddlers to split) 2 drinks and grilled Red Snapper. When I got the bill, I couldn’t believe the price! When I spoke to our waitress (Sandra) she said it was market price. My issue is why isn’t this told to the customer? If you’re going to be charging astronomical prices for food shouldn’t the patron be informed first? Most places I’ve eaten at will at least warn you that the market price is high and ask if you’re still interested in ordering that dish before it’s cooked and served to you. $109 for Red Snapper is ridiculous. I spoke with the manager (Ricardo) and he wasn’t much help. He said all the right things, but offered nothing. When I asked what he could do about this he said he could buy my next meal, but he never even asked my name. The fact that I even had to ask tells me everything I need to know. They don’t care. If I was properly informed, I wouldn’t have ordered the Red Snapper. I don’t think anybody in their right minds would. It’s completely unacceptable to not have transparency with your customers. Like who thinks they’re going to a Mexican restaurant for LUNCH and would be charged over a hundred bucks for fish?! How does that align with everything else on the menu? This place is not a high-end restaurant! They also add an automatic 15% gratuity to my bill because it’s over $100 dollars. This is why I believe the servers are dishonest with disclosing the price of the fish because it secures them a good tip with the automatic gratuity. I was ripped off by this establishment and it’s a shame. I didn’t know I would be paying for a grocery bill for lunch! In this economy…. Let that sink in. I will NEVER eat here and this restaurant should be ashamed of themselves for ripping off their customers. That’s not a great way to conduct business. I’ve never felt so ripped off in my life. DON’T EAT HERE!

They were very welcoming, lots of seafood selections but also other options as well. I did not see if they had a kid menu. Enough seating when I came on a (friday 8/16). Service was fantastic, always checking up and explain menu to us as first timer.

Everything was excellent. I however would like to know why a 15% tip is added to the bill if ones order is over 100.00. And you will go over 100.00.

Avoid this restaurant at all cost!!!! Asked for a Catarito drink and they sent me a mojito. I was willing to drink it and didn’t return it. But then when I took the first sip it pure lemon juice!! Very very sour. I told them and immediately the manager got defensive and starting telling me I ordered it incorrectly. No special instructions were given. I ordered from the menu just as it is. And when he walked away he started telling all the staff and they came over stating to see who returned the drink. This wasn’t even the worst part.

The waiter was even ruder at this point. Didn’t even refill our water and when we talked to her she would make faces.

When we ordered our food. My daughter ordered a red snapper. Mind you she’s young. They took advantage that we didn’t ask the price and brought us the BIGGEST fish they possibly had at this restaurant and charged me $98 for a fish!! I mean it came out on a party platter. Absolutely ridiculous.

Time for the tab. It was 4 of us. They included the tip on the tab which ended up being $40. Nowhere in their establishment does it say gratuity is automatically charged.

The waiter was rude from the beginning.

We talked to the manager and he said that all he can do is refer us to complain on Google.

I’m Hispanic and have lived here for over 20
Years.

AND THIS IS THE WORST RESTAURANT IN HAMPTON ROADS.

We should have know better when we got here and it was empty on a Saturday!!!

Delicious food! Amazing ceviche! Authentic Mexican seafood and music. Staff was friendly and professional! I had the tacos pescado, michelada and trea leche. Seating was quick. Definitely a new favorite spot here in Virginia! Can’t wait to come back and try something new on the menu!
