Service was amazing! Very friendly staff. However, the food was completely flavorless. It looked great but there was no flavor. Also, the portion sizes were a bit small.

This place is a must visit all because of Nonna and her cooking! We stumbled upon the place while driving through Virginia Beach and so happy we did. The food is excellent and all freshly prepared. Nonna threw in delicious garlic knots for our family. The space inside is also really nice. It was great learning about Nonna’s story and how she came to owning a restaurant. However, due to the pandemic she is struggling to stay open. It would be a real shame if this place closes so please go out and support her if you can.

Nona’s Kitchen is literally the most wholesome place I have ever eaten at. Nona is amazing, friendly, warm-hearted and is just hands-down the sweetest person ever. The food is AMAZING, FRESH, makes me feel like I’m back home eating an Italian feast, and will leave you wanting more every time. The wait staff is AWESOME. They welcomed me, and my brother with open arms, and I can’t wait to pay them another visit.If you are look for great quality Italian style food, Nona’s kitchen is the place to go!

Seven of us had a lunch reservation for noon on a Saturday. When we arrived, we were the only ones there. Nona welcomed us and said she couldn’t open because of lack of staff. She said she would take care of us though and do everything herself. She started us with delicious freshly made garlic knots. While we had those, she prepared our meals. Other than pasta, there was really no vegan items for my wife so she had just a salad. I had the meatball parmigiana sandwich. It was good but could have used a bit more sauce. Other plates included chicken parmesan, spaghetti and meatballs, sausage and pepper rustica (very spicy) and messy chicken sandwich and chicken fajita wrap. The food was all very good. It was a long time though, we were there for nearly two hours. The restaurant is tucked in a small strip mall. We’re not sure how she can stay open without getting reliable help. 6-19-2021

I ordered for delivery and waited for an hour and a half then a representative called us and said it was going to be additional 30 mins, so I waited for 40mins just to give them enough time and finally i decided to call them back for an update and they told me they just started preparing the food considering the time is 8.30pm and they close at 9pm. I understand that many businesses are short staff, they could of just told me that wait is 3 to 4 hrs and I could of just went somewhere else instead of waiting for almost 3hrs.

Most authentic and home good feeling type of Italian food here! Their vodka sauce is the best vodka sauce I've had, similar to nyc Italian restaurants! Definitely place your order a few hours ahead of time as they make everything from fresh!

We showed up at the restaurant at 2:20 pm. The gentleman told us they were closed from 2-4, but will reopen at 4 and to come back after 4. We understood that and we came back around 8pm. We was told that they could not seat us due to reservations........there was hardly any people in there, plus if we needed reservations why not tell us that when we came in at 220. We just moved to the area and was so excited to live so close to an Italian restaurant that had great reviews. Well we will not come back and it is unfortunate that we never even got to eat there.
Really a 2.5 star review mainly because the food is fantastic. However, a word of caution. If you are ordering to go on a Friday night expect at least a 2 hour wait, so plan accordingly. This happens most of the time. Today it was nearly a 3 hour wait after we were told it would be 2 hrs.

I absolutely love Nonas! I usually place pick up orders and they are always so pleasant to deal with and the food is so good! I usually get some sort of pasta with red sauce (I intend to try new things but it ends up being a variation of the same thing) always delicious! My fiancé gets the chicken Alfredo and we have gotten the garlic knots and tiramisu! I have always loved what I've gotten and have always had enough food for the next day left over!

Ordered $80 worth of food today I ordered 3 loaded cheese steak WRAPS got delivered 3 cheese steak subs and didn't add the peppers I asked for but was on the receipt. Called was told because they have a new person working the register it was entered correctly. Absolutely no offer to fix the order and paid more for the subs then the wraps. 100% unacceptable I will never order from here again..

I absolutely love Nonas! I usually place pick up orders and they are always so pleasant to deal with and the food is so good! I usually get some sort of pasta with red sauce (I intend to try new things but it ends up being a variation of the same thing) always delicious!
