DON'T EAT HERE!!!! If I could give a negative review, I would. First of all, there are no waitresses. You have to go to the bar & wait about 15-20 minutes to place your order with the bartender. If you order a beer, they make you provide them with a credit card 'to start a tab.' But after eating the poor food, we didn't want to stay to drink. The parmesan tator tots were just plain tater tots with parmesan cheese sprinkled on them. Not worth $11!!! The crab cake sandwich was probably the worst & most tasteless I've ever eaten. Not worth $19. The Philly cheesesteak & onion rings were o.k. $20. Had to go back to bar & stand there for about 10 minutes to get catsup for onion rings. Remember that the tax on the food is almost 15%!!!!! Then they add a gratuity of $15.57 to the total bill for food of $69.50!!!! Ended up with total bill of $95.28 cash ($98.60 noncash)!!!! As you can see, we didn't order extravagant items for dinner. Then had to stand about 15 minutes at bar to pay bill!!!!! Stay aware from here!!!!!!!

The bartender, Lemi, passed me over multiple times and made a rude comment: “I'm a bartender not a babysit—you’re standing there on your phone.” I was ready to order; it was my granddaughter on her phone. And than he said “don't be a Karen” Very unprofessional and embarrassing. Hyatt House is a nice hotel, but management needs to address this behavior.

If you don’t want to deal with card theft, avoid this place like the plague. I came and ate. My bill total came out to 25$ after the tip. The male, white, red headed manager was cussing out his employee. I told him to calm down and he started cussing me out. The next morning I checked my bank account and I was charged four times. The Vis Hyatt House is from them. The bartenders were all clearly high out of their minds. One told me he was straight up on molly. They were laughing about how it gets crazy when the big boss isn’t there. I went back and talked to “the big boss” and he said he’d check the cameras but didnt seem to care at all and his manager from the other night was cussing me out in front of him. He just let it happen. I never heard back from them about the charges but two of them ended up dropping and the other extra charge remained. This was THE WORST experience I’ve ever had at a restaurant and I’m about to report them to BBB, FiCOR, and the police. I’ve waited too long and haven’t heard anything. I also think a place like this where it’s okay to cuss out a customer infront of your boss and steal from them should be shut down.

Went Saturday 9/6 with my daughter for my birthday. Both ordered crab legs in addition to a margarita bucket to celebrate. You had to order at the bar with the rude bartenders. No waitress or server. NO SERVICE at all. THEN CHARGED GRATUITY! I expected my tab to be $100 give or take, but charging almost $25 in gratuity is absolutely absurd. Pure greed. Won’t be returning to this restaurant.

This place has the worst food in Virginia Beach. All the bartenders seemed to be drunk. We were drawn in by the live music but once we got our order we quickly knew we messed up. The hot dogs were gross with canned chili and brown Cole slaw. The “bangin’ shrimp” tasted freezer burned, and the cherry slushy tasted like mop water. To add insult to injury the automatic gratuity is outrageous but understandable because I doubt anyone would tip otherwise. Save yourself $80 bucks and go down to the local soup kitchen for better service and food quality. I can’t say a single experience has ever ruined a vacation but this one comes close.
