I’ve had the pleasure of eating at Renee’s before, the menu is large and the flavors truly remind me of home. The only downside is the inconsistency with their hours. Google and their voicemail both say they’re open Saturdays from 11am to 8pm, but when I arrived around 12:40pm, they were closed. I also tried calling at 12:50pm with no answer. I really enjoy the food, but I hope they update their hours to reflect when they’re actually open.
It's a small seat-in restaurant but good food, Kapampangans are known for being good cooks. We just didn't have good service, the man startled and looked stressed when we asked for a table, took a while before we saw our server that we almost walked out. Tip is automatically added to parties of 4 or more so if you're not paying attention, the tablet will ask you to add tip again.
Finally found my favorite Filipino restaurant here in Hampton Roads. The sisig, lechon, adobo, garlic rice, avocado smoothie, ube smoothie, and lumpia were all delicious. I didn’t get to try the kare kare, but plan to order it next time!
