If youre a driver stay far far away from this unorganized mess of a place. Not worth it.

Every employee that I encountered with was very friendly as well as professional... They made me feel very welcome, as I was visiting from out of state.

I had the smothered pork chop dinner. M&C was tasty. However, the p.chop were sooo tough, & the cabbage was too salty for my taste. & Who doesn't give an option of bread w/the meal/dinner?!

I have been coming here for 4 years and always have a great time with friends or even solo . The food is always great too ! The original soul food restaurant has the best soul food in the 757 area.

Just ordered food. Waiting to taste it. Was slightly difficult to get over the loud music and the disposition of the counter person but I made it. Hopefully the food will make up for the lack of undertrained staff.
This was my wife and my first visit and based on reviews we had high expectations. It turned out to be very dissappointing in several areas. The decor and atmosphere was inviting but the Hooka Bar and the young lady vaping were a turn off as there were no barriers to block the smoke from where we were sitting. Patrons are allowed to take their smoking apparatus to their table. By the way we are Baby Boomers and were advised their clientel are younger. Okay I get that. Next the music was too loud and not very deversified. I like Regae but would like a little Jazz but the DJ does not have that genre. He did play some Hop Hop. Last and most alarmung qas the food. I ordered catfish mixed greens and yams. My wife had baked chiken, green beans and yams. I asked about the yock and he informed me he was the yock king. NOT!! We took the food home and with the exception of the yams it was sub par. Greens to salty, fish was over cooked and thinly sliced making it hard. For $18 I expected at least 2 pieces of fish. NOT!!
My wifes chicken was smothered in salty gravy and over cooked (tough). The yock was not tasty, the eggs were not fresh (yokes were dark green and a dull yellow) and the chicken was tough. Looked like they were rotten. Not appealing at all. Worst $54 meal ever. Just saying!!!

Very busy spot, it's not just the Soul Food Cafe, there are other restaurants, a bar and lounge area. While The Soul Food Cafe is very quick and prompt with their others the other restaurants not so much.

I orders my food via Uber Eats I had the turkey wing dinner with What was suppose to be Greens and Sweet potatoes. The greens were either out of the can with Nooo kind of seasoning or spinach. Horrible. Sweet potatoes more like Mashed stringy sweet potatoes. Turkey wing was decent but, being that I’m not from this area at here visiting for work. Wasn’t to impressed.id give them an absolute 3.5 out of 10. Now they may have other things that are really tasty. But this wasn’t it.

Slow, ordered online suppose to be ready at 6:10, got there at 6:20 and still waited 20 more minutes.
Did it take a little long for the food to cook? Yes. Was it worth the wait? YES! Chicken wings fried hard!!! Mac and cheese and yams
ON POINT! This place is nice and clean and just good vibe overall. Highly recommend!
