Great food great service, our server was awesome!

2025 update. The restaurant has too much business, no need to give it more and get frustrated. Went on a Wednesday, near the end of happy hour, there is an empty table in the bar area for two. We check with the hostess and it is reserved, for an hour and a half later!! She could not give it to us. Talked to manager, but again, could not let us have a drink and sit there, even though we said we would respect the next reservation time and be gone. We sat at the bar, while that table and two other larger tables sat empty for a good 45 mins!! They had a guy playing the sax, it was way too loud and close to the bar, which is where we sat. Logan, the bartender gave us great service, despite the lack of common sense of the manager and the seating policy. By the way, we left after a glass of wine, and spent $120 at another restaurant for dinner, that could have been spent here. Beautiful spot, but as a local, there are better views and just as good food. Sorry Porch, you just lost a customer and as many friends as I can tell. You can lure in the tourists and take their money.

We had dinner tonight at The Porch on Long Creek located just off Greatneck Road in the heart of Virginia Beach.

They were busy but we got lucky by walking in just as a couple got up to leave from their seats at the bar. This was the food bar overlooking the kitchen area. It’s the best show in town, watching all of the professional chefs do their thing!

Our server was Sabrina and she was prompt, courteous and friendly. She definitely made our night special. She several recommendations and we tried some of them (you can’t eat everything) every dish was a WINNER!

Our food came out quickly considering how busy they were tonight. The pictures do not do the food justice, everything was incredible! We are already planning our next visit here and hope Sabrina will be our server!

Recommended dishes: Seared Scallops with Risotto, Roll, Poke Tacos, Vanilla Bean Creme Brulee, The Porch Burger, Crunchy Tuna Roll, Lamb Shops and Sea Scallops

It’s really a shame because most of the servers are cool. But some are so mean that it leads me to believe they clearly have a management problem and don’t see the customers as necessary. They probably assume everything is good because they always have a waiting list, but the cook staff is definitely keeping this place alive.

was told by the host that there would be a seat by the bar. welph ended up standing for 20 mins and when the couple next to me checked out their chairs where already given to another so i was stuck with no chair, no services, no nothing for 45 mins.

lovely evening outside even though the weather was not cooperating we were able to enjoy a lovely dinner first off a pleasure to see jaymie our favorite server in vb ! 5 Star!
my pasta dish was the bomb and the old fashionds were great. my companions enjoyed their crab cakes and lychee martinis! the banana bread old fashioned was great for dessert with the creme brulee (what else!). lightning show was a bonus treat! see you soon!

During the first 2 hours I received great service from the chef!! Idk what happened in the evening and so disappointed to get cold shrimp limited in count and I’m only making notice because I have come many times and this was the worst experience for the evening. Again the manager needs to make sure the chefs are all on board in how they serve the customers!!!
