The bartender is rude, untruthful and has a horrible attitude with Owner allowing this behavior! I will no longer patronize this establishment. Makes for a hostile environment.

Love it. It’s always an amazing time and experience every time I frequent Tropical Delights. I normally go on Wednesdays for karaoke and Renee, Ali Rose, and DJ Dee never disappoint.

I love this place, music and food is great. My problem is the air conditioning. With a crowded business and selling hot food you need air conditioning. I was there Wednesday night and felt like I was about to pass out from the heat. Didn't finish my second class of wine due to the heat and me sweating. Them as business owners should make sure their customers are comfortable. I will not be going back there for a while, maybe the full when the heat is needed

They really shouldn’t even still be in business! My daddy was murdered at this hole in the wall on a day he was off and called in! He took his job serious and talked highly of these cowards and they didn’t even wanna testify at court for him! Nor did they send condolences to our family they were very unempathetic and cold about the whole situation ??‍♀️ I always wonder like did anyone even hold his hand and tell him to hang in there and that everything was gonna be ok or did they just stand over him while he was fighting for his life ? he wanted me to come out so bad that night and I wish I would’ve because I would’ve took that bullet for him for sure!! ? LLPUGS

It was my first time there tonight, They closed at 10:30 which was a disappointment but the vibe was peaceful yet fun and happy

Karaoke was fun to watch the dj was definitely a crowd booster. The wings was omg the bomb! And it's rare but the bartender was pleasant.

Plenty of tables. I'm definitely going back;

The owner needs to do better!! She reserves all the tables and people not even there and the people that is there wind up standing all night. No wonder everyone goes to UPSCALE when they leave early here. Ridiculous. Men don't dance until it's almost time to go. No hype. No fun. My friends came from out of town and this is the best Virginia Beach had to offer?!! OMG!!!

Well, I waited what I considered was a decent length of time after the "front door murder", to venture back to this place. It's been a couple of years and yes, it is still the size of a shoe box. Dark, even during the day, and I can see that it doesn't take much for you to end up elbow to elbow. Drinks are cheap, so that's a plus. However, the idiocy with the "reserved" situation is beyond stupid. Even seats and tables without a "reserved" sign, are reserved for their "regulars". It's a predominantly Black bar, so I was prepared for some of the usual stupidity and shoot-from-the-hip silly rules that you traditionally find in them. The "regulars" are a story of its own. Old men - Cat Daddies (for the most part), and the young and middle-aged, broke-ass hoochies who love them. Actually, saw a "Superfly" costume on one guy. WTH? In general, what's worn here isn't trendy or fashionable; they are costumes! If you're a people watching type, a visit here will be a very entertaining evening. Parking is at a premium. Side lot is perfect setting for an armed robbery. So much so, I'd venture to say, "I don't know it for a fact, I just know it's true!". May try it again in a couple of weeks. Like I wrote above, the drinks are a reasonable price, but maybe not reasonable enough to counter the faults.

It's just too small. I love the food, music and drinks. You have to get there early to get a seat. One complaint is this one bartender that always has an attitude. I don't understand how she's been working there so long. Maybe she's family. She's the only one with an attitude so you'll know once you interact with her smh Everyone else is very nice. R & B, and hip-hop music

Stopped in for a couple of drinks with an out of town friend that use to live here. While on our second drink the bartender asked us if we were finished drinking. I asked her why did she ask us that. She said "because I want to go home." If they were getting ready to close, at 10:30 PM, that's not the way you tell your patrons that you're closing for the night. My out of town friend was offended and said the next time he comes to visit to please not take him there.
