Phenomenal food, service, and atmosphere! The crab cake was incredible—all crab with no filling. The grilled shrimp tacos, local oysters, and crab hushpuppies were wonderful too. The drink menu is great, well thought out with a lot of fun beachy cocktails. And the service was exceptional—he brought our dog a bowl of ice water, with a pitcher for refills. We stopped in based on good reviews as we were passing through town and couldn’t have been more pleased with our experience!

We travel with our 24 lb 12 yr old dog. We are always very appreciative to find a restaurant with outdoor seating which also allows our dog to join us. The Island House provided us the perfect opportunity for my husband and I to share their delicious broiled crabcake and flounder with onion rings and coleslaw, along with crab dip and toasted bread. The best crab and flounder we've had in quite some time. The Boat House drink was the perfect accompaniment to our meals and the outdoor view. Wachapreague is a quiet town with lodging available close to the Island House Restaurant.

Great views. The food was good. Portions per cost maybe a little off. The size of scallops and shrimp were on the smaller side.

Fabulous service, tasty food & a gorgeous view. Worth the detour off the highway!

Delicious & great view of the marsh

We had a great experience from the moment we walked in the door. Our server was amazing, made sure we had drink refills and asked if anyone needed anything. Will be sure to come again definitely would be even better if there were soft shell crab and keylime pie on the menu.

1st time. Had Avocado Bacon Cheese burger and red potatoes and Cream Brule, Delicious 😋

On the recommendation of a local, we visited the Island House Restaurant in Wachapreague. The burgers were the best we ever had. We will be back!

Delicious meal in a lovely atmosphere. The waiter was a little clueless on the wine list but what I had was very good. Kid friendly even though we did not have kids, we totally understand the challenges dinner with kiddos can be :)

Great location with an unending view across the salt marsh to the Atlantic. Flounder is top notch. Drinks are very reasonable. Live music sometimes.

Very casual atmosphere. Beautiful views of seaside Eastern Shore. Food very good on expensive side.

Made a reservation and glad I did! Very busy and I now know why! Food was very good. We ordered steamed peel and eat shrimp and crab cake hush puppies for appetizers. Excellent. Our entrees were tempura shrimp and beef tenderloin with blackened shrimp. All excellent! Really enjoyed the sweet potato biscuits! Definitely would be a return visit if we vacationed in the area again

Our waitress was extremely patient, efficient and friendly. The food is always delicious. We ate every bit lol.
