The Waterwheel Restaurant is an absolute gem. Came here for Father's Day dinner while staying at the inn next door. It's a small but cozy dining space inside with ample courtyard seating outdoors. Depending on the dish, the food can be either mediocre or good. The atmosphere is very nice but I had a poor experience with service. I will say that I was a party of one and that lends itself to being forgotten and a lack of incentive to give prompt care and attention — this was definitely the case and disappointing when you’re paying $40 for ravioli. The service, ambience, food, and overall hospitality was incredible. A true hidden gem and a must for those staying in the area. The quality of the meal blew us away, and was much better than a few places we enjoy back home in Charleston, SC.
