Basic lounge, limited food offerings, employees were quite loud.

Literally everything is an up cost, what's the point of paying for business class when you then pay for normal things like espresso in the lounge.

Priority Pass members are flat-out refused entry with zero respect, even though the lounge clearly promotes itself as part of the program. The staff is rude and dismissive, using “overcrowding” as a lazy excuse to turn people away. It feels like they just don’t care at all. Totally unacceptable behavior — a complete embarrassment for the airline and Priority Pass!

This is a quiet lounge, really great for someone who is PP card holder with the granted access for this lounge and just need to have a place to rest, or do some computer work. When I am in, it’s only 20% full in capacity during the time 11:30-12:30. It is clear and bright with huge window.
However, the complimentary food options are really limited. They do have multiple choices for food to purchase.
I can’t not comment on the food menu in prices, but personally I wouldn’t want to purchase food in this club, simply because the complementary food wasn’t good… I appreciate that their food is freshly made and can be sent to the table, but their food is flavorless. The pasta was too soft and the tomato soup was like the canned soup. If they can’t make good food for the complementary ones as the samples, then I don’t think I want to pay for the food I definitely won’t eat. And here is a sincerely recommendation, they can probably shrink the portion of the complimentary food. So it may increase some more budget for food quality. I really feel sorry for wasting.

I don’t know, I get there’s no variety but I liked the food just fine so I bumped it up a half star.

Amazing experience at the Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse in IAD.
The premade sandwiches were fresh and always well stocked.
The salad bar was crisp and nicely presented.
Drinks were excellent, with a great top-shelf selection.
Thank you, Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse, for the outstanding service.

They refused to accept Priority Pass, even as Priority Pass should allow me to enter the lounge.

Quiet and comfortable with enough amenities to enjoy a few hours comfortably prior to boarding. There are free sandwiches, salads, and pasta options. Drinks too. It’s clean and the staff are friendly and helpful.

First Virgin clubhouse in the world to charge a virgin Upper class passenger 4$ for a espresso…. Pathetic.

The staff at check-in were very friendly. At the bar however, not at all. I have never been to a lounge where most of the drinks were not included but cost money. The coffee came from a big pot not a coffee machine. There were 3 types of sandwiches and 2 salads. That's it. The worst lounge ever. Big mistake to choose this one, it was a choice based on nostalgia from the 90ies, when Virgin lounges were spectacular! Never again!

Use a different lounge if you can, this one is really underwhelming. It’s small, alcoholic drinks cost extra (one of the few lounges in the world to do that), soda comes in tiny bottles, and the food is mediocre compared to others. Wi-Fi is decent, but there’s not enough seating or toilets. Save yourself the disappointment and pick another lounge so you don’t make the same mistake I did.

Definitely a disappointment but better than nothing. Staff is very nice but the space needs an update

There seems to be little value in using the guest card, as you’re still required to pay for most menu items and drinks, with only a limited selection—like coffee, chips, and a pasta bowl—included. The service could definitely be improved. Swiping the card at the entrance gives the impression that more is included, but in reality, it’s no different from dining at a regular restaurant where everything is charged separately.

Not accepting Priority Pass.

Fly Solo

Only go here if you get access free (and even then consider all other options first).
Food is for $$ (expensive and poor quality) during the hours of PP access. It's free for a few hours prior to Virgin own flights, but PP holders are not admitted during that time.
The same applies to other SkyTeam airline passengers .

The space itself is dark and grimey, minimal uncomfortable seating, poor air circulation. Staff is surly and unhelpful.

Air France lounge just down the hall is not perfect but still miles ahead.
