Awarded Best Tannat of Loudoun. 👍
I really love this little, laid-back winery and the friendly, interesting people who run it. But the biggest plus with Carriage House is the quality of the wines, which are magnificent, particularly (for my tastes) the big reds, the Tannat and the Petit Verdot. But stay away! We want it all to ourselves!
It was a great visit, enjoyed the wines and the atmosphere. We got to speak to the winemaker which was a nice surprise.
Excellent wines overall, reds(dry) were some of the best in the area and I even liked all the whites (not usually my go to).
I highly recommend this place to anyone going to wineries in the area. The winemaker is also very knowledgeable and friendly, uou can tell this is a love and passion for him.
What a surprise to find this place and fall in love with the wine. My husband and I did the red and white full tasting and everything was delicious- the ports, the sparkling wines, the winemaker seems to be an intelligent man. I love how quaint and low key the vibe is there, and will keep this low-production winery a special secret, but we look forward to returning again and again
We had a great experience today visiting this winery. Great conversations with Kathy in the tasting room and Mike the owner - a lot of wine making knowledge and we learned much from him about the nuances of Virginia winemaking. Highly recommend visiting, and maybe you'll carry out a full case like we did!
Good wines. New sparkling white very nice. Could have better selection of light fare.
Amazing wine, great staff and idyllic countryside location. Love this place. The owners also rock!
A small, family run operation with some big accolades.

Absolutely wonderful experience visiting this winery. Quaint and welcoming…highly recommend. The wines were some of the best we gave tasted in VA.
Small family owned winery with amazing wines! Our group did a tasting and I most enjoyed their sparkling Chardonnay, merlot, and barouche red. We met Mike the winemaker and he along with his staff were all very welcoming. We’ll be back to visit in the fall!
Lovely wines — particularly enjoyed the Viognier, Red Barouche, and Sparkling Chardonnay — and a friendly, informative, and unpretentious winemaker and tasting room staff. Nice space with a view.
We loved our visit to Carriage House. We met the owner Mike. The two ladies behind the counter were super nice and very kind. The outside seating was relaxing and clean. There was only one issue. We were charged $15 for three "sips" of white wine. We don't drink red. Our entire bill was $40. That included the "tasting" and two glasses of wine. We thought that was a little over the top. However, as I mentioned, they are so kind, the ladies topped off our glass when it got low. We would definitely go back but maybe not do the tasting.
My favorite place. Great wines and super nice owners and staff!
