A small, family run operation with some big accolades.
Absolutely wonderful experience visiting this winery. Quaint and welcoming…highly recommend. The wines were some of the best we gave tasted in VA.
Small family owned winery with amazing wines! Our group did a tasting and I most enjoyed their sparkling Chardonnay, merlot, and barouche red. We met Mike the winemaker and he along with his staff were all very welcoming. We’ll be back to visit in the fall!
Lovely wines — particularly enjoyed the Viognier, Red Barouche, and Sparkling Chardonnay — and a friendly, informative, and unpretentious winemaker and tasting room staff. Nice space with a view.
We loved our visit to Carriage House. We met the owner Mike. The two ladies behind the counter were super nice and very kind. The outside seating was relaxing and clean. There was only one issue. We were charged $15 for three "sips" of white wine. We don't drink red. Our entire bill was $40. That included the "tasting" and two glasses of wine. We thought that was a little over the top. However, as I mentioned, they are so kind, the ladies topped off our glass when it got low. We would definitely go back but maybe not do the tasting.
My favorite place. Great wines and super nice owners and staff!
Beautiful location, fantastic and friendly staff who listen to you, offer suggestions when you need them, and make you feel welcome. And wonderful wine options.
Lovely experience! They were very welcoming of me and my pup - in addition to having delicious wines.
Great selection of wines. Cathy was a wonderful and knowledgeable host during our visit.
Great wines but just be aware they close at 5:30pm not 6pm. Got an open bottle close to closing (15 mins before), sat outside and the folks working there sort of rushed us out (put the umbrellas down around us and kind of stared at us). We were there maybe 5 minutes past closing. Would have rathered they did not sell an open bottle close to closing and just mentioned they were closing shortly if they need to rush out.

Great tasting wine and very friendly owners and staff. A small and cozy operation.
3 years later, wish we had bought more... Worth spending hundreds btw.
Amazing wine, very welcoming owners. Off the beaten path winery really makes you feel like a neighbor while serving a delicious assortment of wines!
It was an unexpected delight to stumble upon this little gem outside Waterford. Great atmosphere, with the acres of vines immediately outside. Wonderful customer service, with the staff being very friendly, and one of the owners taking time to say hello to the visiting guests at the tasting bar. Would recommend adding this to your next wine day, it’s worth a stop! Excited to see how the wines continue to evolve & age overtime. Will be back!
I recommend all wine lovers to stop by and check this place out. Very friendly service and knowledgeable with their wine- Certified
