Copper Fox Distillery Williamsburg

Visited today for the Spirit Bourbon launch. Had a number of cocktails while enjoying the live music. Staff here were fantastic. Cocktails were delicious, balanced, and an absolute joy to drink. Wished we lived closer to this wonderful distillery to savor their spirits and hospitality. Well done Copper Fox.

The whiskey is AMAZING !!! The overall vibe is relaxing and the young lady who was made our drinks was super friendly and sweet (I am sorry I forgot her name). Highly recommend ☺️

Some seriously awesome whiskey options , and the service is even better. The bartenders really know their product, and go out of their way to help you out , and steer you in the right direction. Awesome distillery and people!

Excellent distillery, awesome venue with fast and friendly service and lots of great drink options. Can't go wrong with anything, especially enjoyed the Old Fashioned flight and New Town Sour! Crackers and pimento cheese to nibble on with our drinks was great, too.

Update 05/2025 - made a return visit to one of our favorite distilleries, still rocks! Piha Painkiller tastes exactly like what a painkiller made with whisky should, well-crafted and perfectly balanced. Same goes for the lychee martini, an excellent cocktail! They were very busy and apologetic for the wait, which wasn't even that long, but we appreciated their concern as they were clearly hustling all around serving all the customers.

Our tour guide was enthusiastic and knowledgeable. He really made sure we had all of our questions answered and was efficient and funny with his tour delivery. Then we got a discount on whiskey flights at the end! Definitely worth the price of admission

Tasting room to try any 4 whisky’s you like. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Good place to chill, games available.

My Wife and I enjoyed a distillery tour curtesy of Gabe, an informative tour guide and one of the few hands-on/does-most-everything employees undertaking the step-by-careful-step distilling process at Copper Fox.
Gabe’s tour presentation was a unique behind-the-scenes look at and summary of the entire creative process. It was well worth the $10/head tour fee.
And the 45-60 minute tour is then followed by the best part — A sampling of CF’s various distilled spirits for a nominal fee in CF’s comfortable, spacious Tasting Room. And the Tasting Room experience is heightened by the Room’s employees, who were engaged and informative about the various spirits.
If you’re a local or a first time visitor to the Williamsburg area, do yourself a favor and stop-in to Copper Fox for a taste, tour and/or multiple tastes.

Awesome distillery to visit. We had 2 flights to taste 8 different whiskey, gin , and liquor. We bought 3 bottles. We also had a great cheese and meat plate to snack on. The service was excellent and the prices good ?

We took the tour at 3pm. It was very informative and our guide Gabrial was great he explained the distillation process in detail. I would highly recommend the tour. It gives you a better understanding of what the distillation process is and what it involves, The tasting flights help you understand what the taste profile is on each style is all about . Jesse and Anna at the bar are exceptional at explaining what the profile on each drink is and the complexities of each style is. This is by far my favorite tasting/touring experience ever. You gotta try it?

During our recent visit to Virginia, We had the pleasure of embarking on a memorable experience at Williamsburg, a historically significant and aesthetically pleasing location. The tour of the Copper Fox Distillery further enriched this experience. Our knowledgeable tour guide, Seth, provided insightful explanations of the whiskey-making process, skillfully blending humor and expertise. Erica and the other bartender demonstrated exceptional customer service, fostering a warm and welcoming atmosphere. While the overall experience was highly commendable, I must objectively rate it as 4/5 due to the absence of a live demonstration of the barley raking and preparation process. This would have enhanced the tour by providing firsthand insights into the intricacies of the craft. The single malt whiskey, in particular, left a lasting impression, and I highly recommend it. I anticipate a future visit with great enthusiasm.

Our party of four ordered some fantastic drinks at the bar before taking the distillery tour. Servers were friendly and the atmosphere was very relaxing with some beautiful decor. The tour was interesting and tour guide was fantastic and very humorous! Purchased some products to take home and have to say their whiskey is 10 out of 10!!!

this is a nice gem to find, quaint little place, the ambience is quite nostalgic...of peace, or of a much needed solitude, the smell is rustic, the staff and people around you are friendly and helpful, everythin' is just fine, like their selection of whiskeys, cocktails, charcuteries, and a cute gift shop, not to mention you can book a tour of the place
