Copper Fox Distillery Williamsburg

An excellent spot to visit in gorgeous surroundings- we did the tour and were treated to a wealth of knowledge from the Team, who were happy to clarify all the questions we had about production and the history of the building itself.
Cocktails are simply delicious and it is almost impossible to leave without taking a bottle or two home.

This is an amazing tour! It’s all of an hour, worth every penny, and make sure you get Gabriel because he’s the best! He’s knowledgeable, funny, and very informed about every piece of the process. It’s also a huge bonus that the whiskey is VERY good.

It was a perfect Sunday touring Copper Fox Distillery in Williamsburg. Gabe walked us through the distilling process, shared the history of the Copper Fox location, and what makes them so unique. His enthusiasm and sense of humor kept everyone engaged. He was happy to answer every question.
Now taking every sip with a little more appreciation.

Place closed over a half hour early... disappointing. My husband and I wanted to try the bourbon flights while we were in town. Call before arriving on a week night. It might save you a trip.

Fantastic tour, given by the actual distiller (thus knowledgeable but also funny). This is a unique place, both in terms of what they make and how they make it. The space is also very cool-- a repurposed hotel. One extraordinarily rude bartender, unfortunately, but that was a small mark against an enjoyable afternoon!

“What does the fox say?” The drinks were great and the Original Rye was our favorite. We were too late today, and they were all booked for tours through the New Year, but the staff let us down easy and were super kind and helpful. The space is quite wooden and quaint. The sho has great finds as well. Loved the socks!

Tour was super interesting and the guide was very knowledgeable! Loved the speakeasy and the staff. Bartenders made great drinks - highly recommend the classic old fashioned.

This is definitely a place that is an experience! The staff is very friendly in the good way, not just being nice for a job.

Cozy vibe, great spirits, super staff. Will go back.

As a whiskey fan, this is a Utopia of wonderful whiskey in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere. A must-see, and taste, in Williamsburg for any visiting whiskey connoisseur. Or for anyone that wants to see what real whiskey is about. Their bottles make excellent gifts for those that have everything except for one of the world's finest whiskeys. Outdoor seating, and live music sometimes. Just a wonderful atmosphere.

We went to the Copper Fox distillery with friends and took the tour. It was very interesting to see the behind the scenes on how this unique process works. With the owner Rick as our guide, he led us through the renovated hotel property that is now a distillery. Afterward we were able to purchase snacks and try some of the different whiskeys and ryes, with a gift shop to buy your favor bottle. If you are looking for a unique way to spend a couple hours I highly recommend stopping in at Copper Fox and take their tour.

A must see!! Be sure to call ahead and get on the tour schedule. Interesting story about their very unique facility and ground breaking distilling techniques...truly one of a kind. After the tour, be sure to taste their single malts either singularly or in a flight! Great gift shop too!
