Book a tour or just stop by, but do not miss this opportunity to taste some of the best rye, whiskey and Amaro made in the US!

While here you can taste a flight or order cocktails. Plus they have some delicious vegetarian and gluten free food options

As a whiskey fan, this is a Utopia of wonderful whiskey in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere. A must-see, and taste, in Williamsburg for any visiting whiskey connoisseur. Or for anyone that wants to see what real whiskey is about. Their bottles make excellent gifts for those that have everything except for one of the world's finest whiskeys. Outdoor seating, and live music sometimes. Just a wonderful atmosphere.

We went to the Copper Fox distillery with friends and took the tour. It was very interesting to see the behind the scenes on how this unique process works. With the owner Rick as our guide, he led us through the renovated hotel property that is now a distillery. Afterward we were able to purchase snacks and try some of the different whiskeys and ryes, with a gift shop to buy your favor bottle. If you are looking for a unique way to spend a couple hours I highly recommend stopping in at Copper Fox and take their tour.

A must see!! Be sure to call ahead and get on the tour schedule. Interesting story about their very unique facility and ground breaking distilling techniques...truly one of a kind. After the tour, be sure to taste their single malts either singularly or in a flight! Great gift shop too!

We had a great tour with Gabe at Copper Fox Distillery followed by several tastings in the tasting room. While all the old fashioned samples in the flight were amazing, the campfire old fashioned was our personal favorite. We will absolutely be back.

My twin brother and I did a tour on Friday. We were so lucky to get the owner to be our tour guide. It was the BEST distillery tour that I have ever been on, by far. I live in Ohio, and I have been on 30-40 distillery tours and I actually have my own distillery (albeit a research lab). First, the ingenuity of the entire site in Williamsburg. Using an old motel for a distillery is incredible. The main building is set up with a gift shop on the right and a great bar on the left (some great cocktails offered). In the middle, you can see the fermentation tanks. One set of motel rooms (left of the main building) is the rickhouse. They use bourbon barrels for some of their whiskey, with a brilliant aging approach with fruit charred wood. They palletize their barrels. The next set of motel rooms is their malting facility. This space alone is worth seeing. The owner is so cleaver in how he set up his own malting facility and can use charred wood to kiln his sprouted barley. This mill (outside) is so clearly set up (no dust to start fires), and his cooker/fermentor, using steam and cooling is done great. They pump their distiller's beer to a unique still, that is set up as a still/thumper; a second round allows him to achieve a triple distillation. He uses a swimming pool, during the winter, to cool his system. Another set of motel rooms is the bottling room, and his approach is part hand bottling and part automated. We got to try a flight of their whiskey's, and they were great. Please try with and without a drop of water. Overall, this was an amazing experience, and the owner is a great teacher and marketer of their spirits. This is a must stop.

We really enjoyed the tour of the distillery. It is about an hour long and they take you through all the buildings, showing the various stages of making their products. Interestingly, it used to be a motel, which you can see clearly, with all the doors facing the parking lot and the painted lines for parking spaces. Copper Fox is one of only four distilleries in the U.S. that uses floor malting, we learned. The tour ended with flights or cocktails, and of course an opportunity to buy a wide range of whisky, bourbon, etc. A very chill, educational, and delicious way to spend an afternoon.

Really cool place. Great repurposing of an old motel. You enter the tasting room through a bookcase. We spent a rainy afternoon here. Nice stop in Williamsburg and you can tour the distillery.
